Developer, Manufacturer, and Seller of Cardiac Rhythm Management Products

Recently, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) officially granted a patent to Singular Medical, a company within the Jiangsu Medical Device Technology Park (Medpark).Singular MedicalIssued the "Notice of Allowance," confirming its "Catheter and Leads for Cardiac Conduction System.") Patent (Application No.: 17/804,705) ApprovedCheck.ThisMarksSingular Medical's innovative achievements in the field of Cardiac Conduction System Pacing (CSP) technology have gained international authoritative recognition.

Singular Medical, located in Longshan Sci-tech Park of Jiangsu Medical Device Technology Industrial Park, is a hard-tech enterprise focusing on the research, development, and industrialization of medical devices related to Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM). The company has established research and development centers in three locations: Suzhou, Beijing, and Irvine, USA. Starting with Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICD), the most technically challenging product in the CRM field, Singular Medical has built a comprehensive CRM technology platform. It aims to become a supplier of full-range CRM products in China, providing arrhythmia patients with complete solutions from monitoring, diagnosis, treatment to postoperative follow-up.
Revolutionizing CSP Pacing Electrode Solutions
Traditional cardiac pacing technologies (such as right ventricular or biventricular pacing) often cause complications like mitral regurgitation, atrial fibrillation, and pacing-induced cardiomyopathy due to non-physiological electrical signal conduction. In contrast, the core technological advantage of Singular Medical’s physiological pacing—achieved through innovative solutions such as His-bundle pacing and left/right bundle branch pacing—enables electro-mechanical synchronization of the heart, reducing the risk of heart failure-related complications. This approach is particularly suitable for pacing-dependent patients.

(Patent Figure 1)
The lead employs core-wire spiral electrodes, dual-spiral electrodes, and adjustable spacers, enabling deep penetration into the ventricular septum for precise localization of key conduction system areas (e.g., the left bundle branch), enhancing pacing stability and reducing thresholds. The small-diameter lead, combined with drug-eluting functionality, minimizes cardiac tissue trauma and inflammatory response, ensuring long-term therapeutic efficacy.
Complementarity with CRTD Technology
Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Defibrillator (CRTD) is an important treatment for end-stage heart failure patients. However, its traditional lead wires need to be implanted separately into the right atrium, right ventricle, and coronary sinus (left ventricular lateral vein/posterior lateral vein), making the surgery highly complex. Additionally, anatomical variations of the coronary sinus may lead to failed left ventricular pacing. The Left Bundle Branch Pacing technology proposed by Singular Medical achieves biventricular electrical synchronization through a single septal implant, simplifying the surgical procedure. At the same time, efficient conduction of physiological electrical signals can improve myocardial function in patients. Since the electrodes are implanted in the left and right bundle branches, this technology is also suitable for patients with high-level bundle branch block, effectively improving myocardial synchrony and providing a new approach to synchronized treatment for patients unsuitable for CRTD implantation.

(Patent Figure 2)
Singular Medical's CSP pacing lead is compatible with existing defibrillators and pacemakers, supports simultaneous dual bundle pacing, and its electrode structure allows for easier access to the interventricular septum. It provides a more physiological electrical signal conduction pathway and higher implantation safety, offering an optimal device solution for heart failure treatment.
This patent approval will accelerate the promotion of Singular Medical's technology in the North American and global markets, enhance the clinical treatment level for heart failure, and bring new hope to cardiovascular disease patients worldwide. Singular Medical will continue to focus on innovation in cardiovascular medical devices, using patented technology as a cornerstone to drive the implementation of more breakthrough solutions and contribute to the global healthcare industry.
