Additionally, Novo Nordisk has partnered with the drug discount platform GoodRx to leverage GoodRx’s channels and technology, enabling access to discounted semaglutide and Wegovy across the United States, also priced at $499 per month.The list price for the weight-loss drug Wegovy is $1,349, while Ozempic's is $998. This collaboration comes at a time when demand for GLP-1 drugs is surging. GoodRx reported that in the past year, nearly 17 million people visited its platform seeking discounts and information on these drugs — a 22% increase year-over-year.GoodRx President and CEO Wendy Barnes said, "Demand for GLP-1 drugs is at an all-time high, but too many Americans still face barriers to accessing these medications. By partnering with Novo Nordisk, we are taking a significant step in making these innovative brand-name treatments more accessible to the millions who need them."This agreement addresses a significant gap in the market, as many patients lack insurance coverage for these medications, particularly when they are used for weight loss.
