Illumina Appoints Nilesh Shah as New AMEA Regional Head Amid Leadership Shake-up

Recently, Illumina, Inc., the global leader in DNA sequencing and array-based technologies, announced the appointmentNilesh Shah is the head of the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) region., effective immediately.

Shah will be based in Singapore, taking over from Bas Verhoef, the interim head of the AMEA region.Bas VerhoefWill continue to serve as the head of the European region.

Nilesh has more than25 Years of Leadership Experience, once inJohnson & Johnson, GE HealthcareHold senior positions, most recently inWest Pharmaceutical ServicesServed as Vice President and General Manager of Emerging Markets. At Western Airlines, he successfully drove regional transformation, enhanced customer engagement, and achieved strong growth through agile and consistent strategies in the Asia-Pacific and Latin American regions.
