According to the agreement,Argo Biopharma Grants Novartis TwoOption rights for molecules in the early research stage outside of China,For the treatment of severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG) and mixed dyslipidemia, as well as the priority negotiation rights for BW-00112 (ANGPTL3). The product is currently in Phase II clinical trials in the United States and China, and subsequent combination therapy clinical trials will be led by Argo Biopharma.For another siRNA candidate drug in the preclinical research stage,The product is expected to launch Phase I clinical trials in 2026.

In return,ArgoReceived a prepayment of $160 million,and may receive potential milestone and option payments as well as tiered royalties on commercial sales,Total potential milestone value of up to 5.2 billion US dollars.In addition, NovartisHas initially intended to participate in Argo Biopharma's next round of equity financing,The specific participation (including investment amount and timing) still needs to go through routine due diligence and will be determined by both parties through consultation and the signing of a formal agreement.

This collaboration,It complements the two companies' existing collaboration and marks their third deal.In January 2024, Argo announcedTwo cooperation agreements with Novartis, worth $185 million in upfront payments and a potential total transaction value exceeding $4 billion, were reached at the time.Co-founder of Argo BiopharmaShu Dongxu once stated that as Argo's first BD, the overall atmosphere of the collaboration with Novartis was friendly and harmonious.
