Johnson & Johnson (Abiomed)Announced in the ESC 2025 conference room its clinical study on the interventional cardiac pump Impella CP (DanGer Shock). The research results were simultaneously published in"New English"The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM).

Research shows:
For patients with myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock, routine use of Impella CP can reduce the absolute mortality rate by 16.3% over 10 years compared to standard treatment.
As of the 10-year follow-up period, compared with the control group, the average survival time of Impella CP patients was extended by 600 days (95% CI: 235 – 966 days).

Executive Evaluation
"Long-term data from the DanGer Shock randomized controlled trial published today validated the initial findings, confirming the sustained and annually increasing survival benefits associated with the Impella CP."

ImpellaDeveloped based on the principle of the Archimedes screw pump from ancient Greek mathematician Archimedes, the rotation of the impeller can assist in generating forward blood flow, increasing cardiac output, peripheral tissue perfusion, and coronary artery blood flow.
