On September 3, 2025, Eli Lilly registered a Phase I clinical trial for LY4064912 for weight loss on the Clinicaltrials.gov website.

This Phase I clinical trial plans to enroll 144 healthy and obese subjects, with administration via subcutaneous or intravenous injection, and is expected to be completed in October 2026.

The primary endpoints include PK, weight loss, and renal function benefits. This new weight-loss drug is expected to simultaneously possess a mechanism of action that protects the kidneys.
