Xbiome, which calls itself China’s first AI-based company that specializes in the development of gut microbiome, has raised a total of about $10 million in Series B+ round as investors pour money into firms developing products that promote healthy stomach bacteria.
This round of financing was led by Primavera Capital and Gaorong Capital, followed by Wuyuan Capital, Legend Capital, Yimei Capital and Yayi Capital.
The funds will be mainly used for the development of clinical trials of the team in 2021, the development of drug pipelines, and the continuous development and deepening of the existing technology platform. In this round of financing, China Renaissance Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor.
Xbiome is the first AI pharmaceutical company in China that specializes in intestinal micro-ecology. It is based on intestinal micro-ecology and relies on AI technology to accurately and personally manage the gut health of 1.3 billion people.
