Before joining Doma, he served as the Chief Executive Officer & Chief Medical Officer of Youhe Pharmaceutical Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and concurrently as the Vice General Manager of Biocytogen Pharmaceuticals (Beijing) Co., Ltd. He also held the position of Chief Medical Officer at OrbiMed, JHL Biotech, Phagelux Biotech, and Innovent Biologics. Dr. Zhaorong Chen previously served as the Medical Director of Sanofi China, the Asia-Pacific Medical Director of Bayer Schering Pharma, and the Vice President of GSK China/Hong Kong, leading the Medical and Regulatory Excellence Center. With over 30 years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D, Dr. Chen has worked in medical research, all phases of drug development, drug evaluation, drug registration, and drug safety. He was awarded the Florey Research Fellowship to work at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and received a research grant from the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council (NHM&RC). He also worked on drug evaluation and approval at the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) in Australia.
