September 4,Montreal, computation-driven biotechnology company Congruence Therapeutics announced the completion of a $32 million financing round. The company is building a unique pipeline of pharmacological correctors for protein misfolding diseases, including MC4R deficiency (MC4R-d) hereditary obesity, GBA1-driven Parkinson's disease, and alpha-1 antitrypsin (A1AT) deficiency. The company completed a $50 million Series A financing in 2021 and a $15 million Series A+ financing in 2023, bringing its total financing to nearly $100 million to date.

Congruence Therapeutics Plans to Initiate Phase 1 Trial of CGX-926 in Healthy Volunteers by Early 2026, Including a Phase 1b Efficacy Cohort for MC4R-d Patients. Congruence Therapeutics will also advance programs targeting Parkinson’s disease and A1AT deficiency into later-stage preclinical testing.
