Recently, Professor Shufeng Li and Professor Wenjuan Du from the Electrophysiology Team of the Cardiology Department at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University, in collaboration with the anesthesia and medical technician team, successfully completed one of the first batch of RhythPulse®-PFA ablation surgeries in China, utilizing the domestically produced ShineyoMedical RhythPulse®-PFA system. The successful implementation of this surgery demonstrates the strong team strength and pioneering spirit of the Cardiology Department at Harbin Daer Hospital. It also validates the comprehensive advantages of PFA technology in terms of efficacy, safety, and efficiency, marking the full development of China's indigenous PFA technology, providing a safer and more efficient new treatment option for patients suffering from atrial fibrillation.

Patient Information
Patient, Female, 51 years old, presented with fatigue and palpitations without obvious cause within one year. She was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation at a local hospital. She now comes to our hospital for further treatment. After comprehensive preoperative evaluation and discussion, the team confirmed that she meets the indications for PFA (Pulmonary Vein Isolation with Focal Impulse Therapy) for atrial fibrillation., After full communication with the patient and family, it was decided to adopt the latestPFA Ablation TechnologyPerform atrial fibrillation treatment.

Surgical Procedure
The surgery was performed under general anesthesia. The routine disinfection of the surgical area skin was carried out, and sterile drapes were applied. The right femoral vein was punctured three times, and a 6F sheath and a steerable sheath were inserted. A coronary sinus electrode and a ventricular electrode were advanced through the 6F sheath, while a transseptal guidewire was advanced through the steerable sheath to perform the atrial septal puncture. Under X-ray guidance, the atrial septal puncture was successful, establishing access to the left atrium. Heparin (5000U) was administered, and the ShineyoMedical RhythPulse was introduced via the steerable sheath.®Pulsed Field Ablation Catheter (SDF20mm), constructing a 3D anatomical model of the left atrium and performing substrate mapping. The mapping showed that the left atrial substrate was acceptable, planned to perform PVI, separately performed pulsed field ablation on the right and left pulmonary veins, after completing bilateral PVI, synchronized electrical cardioversion restored sinus rhythm, using ShineyoMedical RhythPulse.®Pulsed Field Ablation Catheter: Substrate mapping was performed under sinus rhythm. No potentials were observed in the pulmonary veins, and after 10 minutes of observation, no potential recovery occurred. The surgery was successful. The surgery was concluded, and fluoroscopy showed no abnormalities in the cardiac silhouette. The catheter and sheath were withdrawn, and after compression hemostasis, there was no local bleeding or hematoma, followed by compression dressing with gauze. No complications occurred throughout the procedure. After the surgery, the patient was safely returned to the ward with good postoperative recovery. The successful implementation of this surgery.

Expert Greetings
Professor Lishufeng
The Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University
Professor LishufengIt is pointed out that pulsed electric field ablation is the latest technology for catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. Pulsed ablation overcomes the limitations of traditional thermal ablation by forming irreversible electroporation (IRE) on myocardial cell membranes through non-thermal pulsed energy, precisely blocking abnormal electrical conduction pathways and interrupting atrial fibrillation at its source. Its reliable safety for nerves and blood vessels, as well as its non-inferior efficacy compared to traditional RF, has been confirmed by numerous clinical trials.
Introduction to the Center
The cardiac electrophysiology team of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University began performing catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation in 2002. It is the hospital with the largest number of treatments in the province and the only center that conducts full-category catheter ablation (radiofrequency ablation, cryoablation, and pulsed electric field ablation) for personalized treatment of atrial fibrillation, with the highest number of cases. The Atrial Fibrillation Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University is a training demonstration base for atrial fibrillation intervention in China. It is one of the first arrhythmia intervention training bases designated by the National Health Commission, a training base for engineering and technical personnel of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and a demonstration base for arrhythmia under the National Health Commission's Talent Exchange Service. It is also the first demonstration base for atrial fibrillation centers in Heilongjiang Province. It leads the establishment of the Heilongjiang Atrial Fibrillation Center Alliance and promotes the construction of medical consortiums. It has been successively rated as a demonstration base of the China Atrial Fibrillation Center, a training demonstration base for atrial fibrillation interventional diagnosis and treatment, and an excellent center of the National Standardized Atrial Fibrillation Center.

【ShineyoMedical RhythPulse®-PFA System】
ShineyoMedical's RhythPulse®-PFA System is the first approved Pulse Field Ablation (PFA) system in China that integrates multi-channel, large focal, and targeted ablation, mainly used for treating drug-refractory and recurrent atrial fibrillation and other rapid arrhythmias. Its core advantages include:
Large Focal Spot Design:Using the world's first 10mm ring ablation catheter, a single discharge can cover a lesion area with a diameter of 10mm, improving the ablation efficiency by more than three times compared to traditional technology.
Targeted Ablation Technology:Equipped with an intelligent contact detection module, it monitors the contact status between the electrode and myocardial tissue in real time, reducing the risk of hemolysis caused by ineffective discharges, and decreasing postoperative plasma free hemoglobin levels by 50%.
Excellent clinical validation:In a clinical trial involving 151 cases, the immediate success rate was 100%, and the success rate for atrial fibrillation treatment at 12 months post-operation reached 85.07%, meeting internationally leading standards.
