Kriya Therapeutics Secures $320 Million Series D Financing to Advance Gene Therapies for Chronic Diseases

September 10,North Carolina, Kriya Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing gene therapies to address highly prevalent chronic diseases with significant unmet needs, announced the completion of a $320 million Series D financing. The round was co-led by Patient Square Capital and Premji Invest, with participation from other leading investors focused on life sciences and technology, including Peter Thiel, Narya Capital, The T1D Fund: A Breakthrough T1D Venture, and other long-term investors. The financing was oversubscribed, marking a significant step forward from the previous funding round.The last time the company raised funds was in a Series C round of $430 million.Since its establishment in October 2019, Kriya has raised more than$900 million in financing (including undisclosed seed round, $80 million Series A, and $100 million Series B).Gene Therapy Company Kriya Completes $313 Million Financing, Total Financing Exceeds $900 Million）

The proceeds from this financing will be used to support Kriya's gene therapy clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas, as well as to continue leveraging the company’s research and manufacturing engine for new product development. Kriya's pipeline includes localized gene therapies for chronic conditions, including geographic atrophy, thyroid eye disease, type 1 diabetes, metabolic associated steatohepatitis (MASH), and trigeminal neuralgia. The company’s pipeline is supported by its industry-leading integrated manufacturing and R&D engine, which is committed to setting new standards of excellence for purity, scale, and production costs in gene therapy.
