With Cardiolink ScienceFlash Abyss®TraSphere®Uniform-sized visual embolic microspheres officially enter the commercialization phase in China.Zhejiang Cancer Hospital TumorInterventional Diagnosis and TreatmentCentral Successful ApplicationFlash Abyss® TraSphere®Completion of the first implantation in China, opening a new chapter for precise embolization treatment of HCC in China.
Flash Abyss®TraSphere®It is a visual embolic microsphere independently developed by Cardiolink Science, and also the world's first uniform particle size visual bionic core-shell embolic microsphere. Before the product launch, an FIM study was conducted.1, confirming its good safety, efficacy, and visualization performance when applied in hepatic cancer embolization treatment.Flash Abyss®TraSphere®Specifically designed for precise HCC embolization therapy, it provides accurate assistance in the distribution of embolic materials during surgery through visualized interventional embolization, guiding postoperative sequential treatment decisions, and offering a safe and effective solution for precise HCC embolization therapy.

Case Summary
Basic Information
Male, 62 years old. Primary liver tumor, BCLC-B stage (CNLC-IIa stage), the tumor diameter for this treatment is 5cm, located in segments II and III of the left lobe of the liver. DEB-TACE treatment is planned.
Surgical Procedure
Routine disinfection and draping, puncture, sheath placement, introduction of angiographic catheter and 2.2F microcatheter, angiography to confirm tumor-feeding arteries. FlashYan polyvinyl alcohol embolic microspheres (110µm) loaded with epirubicin completed drug loading in about 3 minutes. Contrast agent was added to the microsphere/drug mixture at a volume ratio of 1:10, ensuring good suspension of the drug-loaded microspheres. Under DSA imaging, the drug-loaded microsphere suspension was injected into the target vessel in a pulsatile manner (1 mL/min). Postoperative imaging showed successful embolization.

Postoperative Feedback
Flash Abyss®TraSphere®Uniform particle size visual embolic drug-loaded microspheres have rapid drug loading, good suspension, and smooth injection during surgery, superior to similar products. Compared with non-uniform particle size microspheres, they offer better embolic effects on peripheral blood vessels and require a lower dosage when reaching the embolic endpoint. The microspheres are clearly visible under DSA and CBCT, allowing for intraoperative judgment of whether ectopic embolization occurs and timely adjustment to avoid over-embolization and pseudo-embolization.Completion of embolization margin is of great significance. More clinical applications are expected to further explore its advantages and broader application scenarios.
Flash Abyss®TraSphere®Uniform Particle Size Visualizable Embolic MicrospheresDemonstrated outstanding performance in the first commercial implantation in China, earning high praise from clinical experts for its excellent results.Flash Abyss®TraSphere®Uniform Particle Size Visualizable Embolic MicrospheresThe clinical application fills the technical gap in the field of visualizable embolic microspheres in China, providing revolutionary new treatment options for patients with malignant tumors. In the future, with the popularization of product applications and the accumulation of evidence-based experience, it is expected to benefit more patients.。
Flash Abyss®TraSphere®Uniform Particle Size Visualizable Embolic Microspheres:
1. HCHI Patent Technology2, enriching more iodine contrast groups for stable and long-lasting imaging. Supporting multi-modal imaging such as DSA and CBCT, providing clear target navigation for treatments like ssTACE sequential surgical resection.
2. Uniform particle size visible microspheres enhance the ability to embolize the terminal arteries supplying blood to tumors.
3. More types of drugs can be loaded, making it convenient to choose more appropriate medications based on the disease.
4. Core-shell structure, enhancing drug-loading speed, can achieve 99% drug loading in as fast as 1 minute, reducing operation time and improving operational efficiency.
5. Stable drug release, avoiding "burst release," for long-lasting anti-tumor effects.
6. Five particle sizes (110/160/250/350/450µm), four filling volumes (0.5/1/2/3ml), totaling 20 model specifications, comprehensively meeting embolization treatment needs in different scenarios.
