On September 22, 2025, Novo Nordisk registered a Phase II clinical trial for NNC0662-0419 for weight loss on the Clinicaltrials.gov website.

This Phase II clinical trial plans to enroll 220 obese or overweight subjects and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

According to clinical trial registration information and official website information, NNC0662-0419 should be a GLP-1/GIP/Amylin triple agonist, and should be NN9662.

Novo Nordisk has laid out two tri-agonists, including the self-developed GLP-1/GIP/Amylin and the GLP-1/GIP/GCG introduced from Ferring Pharmaceuticals.

Summary
Novo Nordisk's semaglutide is currently the best-selling GLP-1, but it is facing strong competition from tirzepatide. GLP-1+Amylin and GLP-1/Amylin combinations are being actively advanced, with the next iteration being triple receptor agonists, further enhancing weight loss efficacy.
