NeuroXess today announced the completion of a RMB 700 million Series B round. The round was co-led by SDIC JULI, Shenzhen Capital Group and TRIWISE, with participation from China Fortune-Tech Capital, Huangpu Investment Group, CoStone Capital, IDG Capital, Morning Star Capital, JUNXI CAPITAL, Huafu Securities, Huasai Zhihui, ZWC Partners, Jiangxi Financial Holding and other prominent institutions, alongside continued support from existing shareholders including Shanda and Zhongping Capital. The proceeds will be used for multicenter clinical trials and registration approval of the "Triple-F" (fully implantable, fully wireless, fully functional) brain-computer interface system, construction of mass-production capacity at its Super Factory, and next-generation product development and exploration of BCI + AI integration.

Since its launch, the round has drawn intense attention from the capital markets, with investors spanning state-owned platforms, semiconductor industry capital, healthcare capital and hard-tech investment firms, forming a multi-tiered, multi-sector investment structure. This reflects a sector moving from proof of concept toward industrial deployment; with its full-stack in-house capabilities, a clear registration clinical pathway and tangible industrialization progress, NeuroXess has become a rare core asset in the field.

Three Anchor Investors Co-Lead: Multi-Tiered Capital Enters in Concert

Strategic participation by the state-owned capital system is the most striking feature of this round. As an investment institution under the SDIC umbrella, SDIC JULI's investment reflects central SOE-affiliated funds' read on, and confidence in, the industrialization window for brain-computer interfaces. Shenzhen Capital Group, one of China's leading state-backed venture capital firms, is bullish on the BCI sector and has significantly increased its position, making NeuroXess a key holding.

TRIWISE, the co-lead focused on healthcare innovation, brings deep healthcare industry resources. Long active in biopharma and high-end medical devices, its co-leadership is not only a recognition of NeuroXess' underlying hard technology but will also help the Triple-F system achieve clinical commercialization in serious medical settings. Huangpu Investment Group, a major participant in this round, has followed and supported the company since NeuroXess settled in Huangpu District in 2021.

The joint participation of Huangpu Investment Group and Jiangxi Financial Holding is a vivid capital-markets expression of "Shanghai-Jiangxi collaboration": Shanghai's innovation origination and Jiangxi's manufacturing translation are bound more tightly together through capital.

"The industrialization window for brain-computer interfaces is opening, but very few companies have truly closed the loop from clinical work to scale. NeuroXess has not only achieved full-stack in-house development from hardware to software, but its 'Triple-F' system has also produced a replicable surgical paradigm. It is the Chinese solution closest to a closed industrialization loop that we have seen anywhere in the world. SDIC JULI chose NeuroXess for its ability to define industry standards and for its early exploration of BCI + AI integration, which also aligns with our view of AI industry trends. We will draw on business synergies and regional resources within the SDIC Group system to support NeuroXess' path to scale."

——SDIC JULI

"Brain-computer interface is one of the six future industries mapped out in the 15th Five-Year Plan and a frontier sector for cultivating new quality productive forces. NeuroXess has strong engineering and clinical translation capabilities, has completed clinical validation in multiple patients, and is moving into a new stage of exploring real-world physical models for BCI. We will leverage the Shenzhen Capital Group ecosystem to empower NeuroXess' growth, and we look forward to the company deepening its technology and clinical work and advancing steadily along the path to industrialization, offering useful lessons for innovation in China's BCI sector."

——Shenzhen Capital Group

"Brain-computer interface is the ultimate frontier where neuromedicine meets artificial intelligence. NeuroXess is one of the very few Chinese companies we have seen anywhere in the world that has closed the clinical loop across the entire chain. TRIWISE co-led this round not only in recognition of its underlying hard technology but out of conviction about its prospects of entering through serious medicine and ultimately becoming the gateway to the next generation of human-computer interaction. We will draw on our healthcare industry resources to fully support NeuroXess in accelerating multicenter clinical trials and product approval."

—— TRIWISE

"NeuroXess is the anchor enterprise of Huangpu's brain-computer interface industry. Huangpu has rolled out the '10 Measures for Brain-Computer Interface Services', providing full-chain support from technology development and device registration to application demonstration scenarios. Huangpu Investment Group will continue to perform the service function of an investment platform and help NeuroXess integrate into a science and innovation ecosystem of 'industry chain + innovation chain + service chain'."

——Huangpu Investment Group [Wang Yiping, Chairman]

Crossover Capital Rushes In: Leading Investors Stake Out the Next Interaction Gateway

Beyond the strategic anchoring by national and local state capital, another notable feature of this round is the concentrated entry of leading crossover investors. China Fortune-Tech Capital, a top industry investor steeped in the semiconductor supply chain; CoStone Capital, a well-known private equity firm long focused on the full hard-tech cycle; and IDG Capital, a top-tier generalist VC, together form a diversified, top-tier investment matrix. Continued support from established shareholders such as Shanda and Zhongping Capital further confirms the capital markets' long-term confidence in NeuroXess.

The collective bet by leading institutions across semiconductors, top-tier venture capital and medical technology signals that brain-computer interfaces are upgrading from a vertical medical niche to cross-industry infrastructure. This crossover gathering is not only an endorsement of NeuroXess' full-stack in-house capabilities and clinical progress, but also a shared judgment on, and early positioning for, the grand industrial trend of BCI as the gateway to the next generation of human-computer interaction.

Industrialization Speeds Up: Medical Market Rollout Within Two Years

On the industrialization front, NeuroXess has begun building its Super Factory, planned at 14,300 square meters and targeting 10,000-unit capacity. On the clinical validation front, it has completed clinical trials in 65 patients. On July 7, 2026, the Triple-F system officially launched a GCP-registered clinical trial at Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, with the team led by Professor Mao Ying as principal investigator, working with nearly 20 tertiary Grade A hospitals nationwide. It is China's first subdural semi-invasive BCI product to enter the registration clinical trial stage for Class III medical devices.

The proceeds will focus on four areas: multicenter registration clinical trials and registration approval for the Triple-F system, mass-production construction at the Super Factory, next-generation product development, and continued exploration of BCI-AI integration. Next-generation development will center on iterating and optimizing the language BCI and accelerating the visual BCI program to further broaden the boundaries of technical indications; the BCI + AI effort will keep investing in using intent to invoke AI, connect tools and actuate the environment, exploring real-world physical models for BCI + AI and continuously capturing brain activity data in real settings, opening up more possibilities for the next-generation human-computer interaction gateway. NeuroXess aims to bring its products to large-scale deployment in the medical market within two years, so that frontier technology truly benefits more patients.
