ORLANDO, Fla.—Abogen Biosciences is set to present first-in-human clinical data for its mRNA-encoded T-cell engager ABO2203 at the 2026 American College of Rheumatology annual meeting, marking a significant milestone for the Chinese biotechnology company's push into autoimmune diseases.

The conference, scheduled for November 6-11 at Orlando, Florida, represents the largest and most authoritative academic gathering in international rheumatology. Abogen's presentation will showcase results from ABO2203's Phase 1 trial in patients with systemic sclerosis, a rare and difficult-to-treat autoimmune condition that causes hardening of the skin and connective tissues.

ABO2203, an mRNA-encoded CD3×CD19 T-cell engager, is designed to deplete B cells and modulate the immune system. The poster presentation, titled "ABO2203, an mRNA-Encoded CD3×CD19 T-Cell Engager (TCE), Mediates Deep B-Cell Depletion and Clinical Improvement in Systemic Sclerosis (SSc): First-in-Human Results," will be featured during the Systemic Sclerosis & Related Disorders - Treatment Poster B session on November 9, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

The disclosure represents Abogen's inaugural human trial in the refractory autoimmune disease space. The company reported that the clinical data includes safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy results from enrolled systemic sclerosis patients.

ACR Convergence draws tens of thousands of clinical experts, researchers, and pharmaceutical industry representatives from around the globe. The conference serves as a bellwether for the field, showcasing cutting-edge basic research and translational medicine while accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into clinical applications.

The presentation underscores Abogen's innovation capabilities in the autoimmune disease sector and reflects the growing influence of Chinese mRNA companies on the global biopharmaceutical stage, injecting new momentum into the international development of mRNA-based therapies.
