XA-1416 is one of the star strains discovered and produced by Xbiome using a pharmaceutical-grade AI+BT technology platform. It is a "Chinese-origin bacterium" isolated from the intestines of healthy Chinese individuals and has officially been granted a national invention patent.The patent application materials show that the strain can achieve "intelligent fat reduction" through four scientific mechanisms.Strains can enhance the activity of bile salt hydrolase (BSH) to convert conjugated bile acids into free forms, reducing the efficiency of fat absorption in the intestines and accelerating fat excretion; they can stimulate intestinal secretion of GLP-1 hormone, delay gastric emptying, increase satiety, and safely regulate blood glucose levels without side effects; they can reduce "obesity-causing bacteria" (such as Lachnospiraceae), lower the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio, and restore a healthy microbial balance; they can decrease lipid droplet accumulation in fat cells and reduce the proportion of visceral and white fat.

Animal experimental data show that this strain significantly inhibits weight gain, reduces blood lipids, especially lowering low-density cholesterol (LDL-C) levels, decreases visceral fat, improves liver damage indicators, and activates the intestinal hormone GLP-1.This strain can reduce fat, maintain muscle mass, and also avoid "metabolic rebound" and weight regain caused by traditional weight loss methods.Supported by Shenzhen's major scientific and technological projects, Xbiome has collaborated with the School of Public Health, Sun Yat-sen University (Shenzhen), to conduct a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled RCT clinical study on XA-1416, verifying its fat-reduction effects and mechanisms in humans.
From the early stage of development, this strain has already gained recognition – in 2024, XA-1416 was hailed as a representative "Chinese-origin strain" with functional innovation in an in-depth report on the probiotics industry by national-level media outlets, Xinhua News Agency and Outlook Oriental Weekly. The strain and its related products have successively won the 2024 Shenzhen Health Industry Product Technology Innovation Case Award and the Best Biotechnology Innovation Product Award in the 2025 Future Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Top 100 list.
