Industrial Capital Service Agency
On the golden track where brain science and the brain-computer industry are entering a phase of explosive growth, a domestic pioneer in non-invasive brain-computer neuromodulation — Beijing Beizhuo Medical Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Beizhuo Medical") — has announced the completion of a nearly RMB 100 million Pre-A funding round.
The round was co-led by YuanMing Capital and ZGC Capital, with industrial investors including Cerebro Medical Technology participating, and Investarget and Yixin Capital jointly serving as financial advisors for the round.
The proceeds will be used for core technology iteration, clinical pipeline advancement, medical device registration filings, and overseas expansion, accelerating the commercialization of China's original non-invasive brain-computer technology and moving neurological care from experience-based "one-size-fits-all" treatment toward a new stage of individualized precision therapy.
A 100-Billion-Yuan Blue-Ocean Market: Ripe for a "Full-Scale" Breakthrough
Brain disorders such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, stroke, and brain injury have become a core global public health burden.
According to the Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Cerebrovascular Diseases (2024 Edition) and the Journal of Diagnostics Concepts & Practice (Vol. 24, No. 5, 2025), China records more than 3.94 million new stroke cases each year and has over 28 million existing patients, with annual socioeconomic costs exceeding RMB 400 billion. As deep aging and rising social pressures intensify, the number of people with cognitive degenerative diseases and mental disorders continues to climb, making the demand for precision diagnosis and treatment unprecedentedly urgent.
Driven by the dual tailwinds of policy and capital, China's brain science and brain-computer interface (BCI) industries have entered a window of rapid growth. According to reports by media outlets including China Economic Net, total financing in China's BCI sector exceeded RMB 5 billion in 2025, and the industry's momentum keeps building.
Yet traditional neurological care has long been trapped by technical bottlenecks: heavy reliance on physicians' clinical experience, target localization drift, uneven energy delivery, inability to adapt to a patient's individual brain state, high rates of treatment off-targeting, and unstable efficacy.
Moreover, even as neurological diagnostic and therapeutic technologies advance rapidly, no company anywhere has yet built a full-scale non-invasive neuromodulation system covering different disease stages, different brain depths, and different intervention modalities.
Enormous unmet clinical need and a global technological gap have created structural opportunities for companies with hardcore innovation.
Powered by NeuroSpace×AI, Building a Trinity Technical Foundation
Unlike most players in the industry, which pursue a single technology and a point breakthrough, Beizhuo Medical has worked for years in non-invasive brain-computer interaction and neuromodulation, committed to establishing closed-loop non-invasive neuromodulation models and paradigms, and pioneered the NeuroSpace×AI neural space intelligence model.
With this as its core engine, the company has built three foundational technology pillars, connecting the full chain of "individualized brain mapping — precise energy delivery — dynamic closed-loop modulation."
Base 1: Individualized Brain Network Analysis
Drawing on the NeuroSpace×AI model and deeply integrating multi-source medical data such as sMRI, DTI, BOLD, EEG, and MEG, this foundation can precisely perform core computations including cortical functional area parcellation, precise segmentation of deep brain nuclei, white-matter tractography, and blood-oxygen-level-dependent (BOLD) functional brain imaging. It draws a dedicated, individualized brain network map for every patient, breaking the pain point that traditional diagnosis cannot quantify differences in brain networks, and precisely pinpoints lesion-associated brain regions and neural circuits.
Foundation II: Precise Multi-Physics Simulation
Based on vast proprietary brain-network data and self-developed multi-scenario physical-field simulation models, this foundation can, for different therapeutic energies such as magnetic fields, acoustic fields, and electric fields, precisely calculate energy propagation paths, field-strength distribution, and effective range. Combined with innovative algorithms such as electric-field inverse solutions and voxel anisotropy, it automatically completes precise device positioning and optimal parameter matching, solving global technical challenges such as transcranial attenuation of acoustic waves, electromagnetic field dispersion, and insufficient targeting.
Foundation 3: Whole-Brain Dynamic Closed-Loop Regulation
This foundation also delivers the real-world implementation of an intelligent closed loop of "sensing—analysis—decision—modulation—feedback." It not only acquires electrophysiological brain signals in real time and dynamically monitors brain functional states, but also combines deep learning algorithms to predict outcomes and adaptively adjust parameters. By sensing brain feedback in real time and dynamically fine-tuning treatment parameters, the system breaks free from the limitations of fixed-parameter treatment, making every session precisely fit the patient's real-time brain state.
Based on Full-Scale Non-Invasive Neuromodulation, Achieving Four-Dimensional Coverage of "Time–Space–Energy–Function"
The "full scale" that Beizhuo Medical defines is a four-dimensional composite matrix.
In the spatial dimension, it achieves precise penetration from the cortical surface to deep nuclei; in the temporal dimension, it covers the entire course from pre-hospital emergency care in the acute phase, to intervention during in-hospital treatment, to long-term management in the rehabilitation phase; in the energy dimension, it integrates multiple physical energy forms — magnetic, acoustic, electrical, and plasma; in the functional dimension, it is driven by two wheels — "modulating the brain" (neuromodulation) and "protecting the brain" (neuroprotection) — supported by an intelligent closed loop that continuously adapts.
Acute Phase: Plasma Neuroprotection, Seizing the Golden Window of Pre-hospital Emergency Care
The prognosis of emergencies such as stroke and acute traumatic brain injury depends heavily on the "time window" — for every extra minute of ischemia and hypoxia, millions of neurons die irreversibly.
Together with the Beijing Neurosurgical Institute and the Beijing Institute of Technology, Beizhuo has innovatively developed an intranasal inhalation application of low-temperature plasma. It precisely targets microscopic structures such as neuronal mitochondria, achieving highly effective neuroprotection through multiple mechanisms including antioxidation, anti-inflammation, inhibition of neuronal apoptosis, and repair of the cellular microenvironment.
Experimental data confirm that the time to recovery of cerebral blood flow can be advanced by about 30 minutes and cerebral blood flow increased by more than 30%, effectively reducing cerebral infarct size and filling a gap in China's pre-hospital non-pharmacological intervention market for stroke.
Treatment → Rehabilitation: Three Energy Modalities — Magnetic, Acoustic, and Electrical — Precisely Covering from the Cortex to Deep Brain Nuclei
In the in-hospital treatment and long-term rehabilitation stages, Beizhuo, with NeuroSpace×AI as its core engine, has built a non-invasive modulation matrix in which three energy modalities complement one another: navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation (nTMS), transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS), and transcranial electrical interference stimulation (TI/tES).
Among them, nTMS uses magnetic fields to precisely regulate cortical excitability and remodel the abnormal neural circuits underlying conditions such as depression, anxiety, and epilepsy; it has already been deployed at national-level clinical centers including Tiantan Hospital, Anding Hospital, and Peking University Sixth Hospital.
tFUS uses acoustic fields to penetrate the skull and reach deep nuclei such as the thalamus and amygdala, and is the only one of the three energy modalities that can reach deep brain structures non-invasively. Notably, Beizhuo's tFUS pioneered a dual-target, closed-loop modulation mode: it uses dual-source ultrasound for same-frequency alternating or different-frequency sequential stimulation, while working with real-time EEG feedback to dynamically adjust parameters — truly achieving individualized deep modulation "customized to each brain." It has been installed and commissioned at Anding Hospital, Tiantan Hospital, Xuanwu Hospital, and others, with multicenter investigator-initiated trials (IITs) under way.
TI/tES uses electric-field interference to achieve deep, highly selective stimulation; the device is compact and easy to use, making it well suited to extending seamlessly from in-hospital treatment to home-based rehabilitation.
Three energy modalities — from magnetic to acoustic to electrical — multiple "spaces" from the cortex to deep nuclei, and a full chain of scenarios from hospital to home together form a closed-loop non-invasive modulation system spanning the entire treatment-to-rehabilitation cycle.
Partnering with Top-Tier Centers, Multi-Indication IIT Pipeline Fully Launched
Beizhuo's "full scale" is not just a concept. Around multiple core indication pipelines — including depression, disorders of consciousness, pediatric neurodevelopmental disorders, and stroke rehabilitation — the company has launched a number of investigator-initiated trials (IITs) in collaboration with top-tier Chinese tertiary hospitals to validate the real clinical value of the full-scale non-invasive neuromodulation solution driven by NeuroSpace×AI.
Take dual-source tFUS. The company has launched an IIT at Anding Hospital using dual-target same-frequency alternating stimulation to treat depression; an IIT at Tiantan Hospital using dual-target different-frequency sequential stimulation for chronic disorders of consciousness; and, with Anding Hospital and Beijing Normal University, an ADHD-TUS closed-loop modulation project (selected for the "Youcu Program").
At the same time, IITs for more indications are continuously being expanded, covering the complete timeline from acute-phase neuroprotection to rehabilitation-phase functional remodeling.
It is not hard to see that several of the clinical centers Beizhuo works with are national-level medical centers for neurological or mental disorders — Beijing Anding Hospital, Capital Medical University is the National Center for Mental Disorders, and Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University is the National Center for Neurological Disorders.
Top-tier Clinical Platforms and Mature Industrial Capabilities
Beizhuo Medical's partnerships with top domestic hospitals, universities, and research institutions are not limited to IITs.
It is deeply connected to top domestic research and clinical platforms including Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Xuanwu Hospital, Anding Hospital, the Beijing Neurosurgical Institute, and the Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing; an exclusive advisory team composed of leading authorities such as Academician Jiang Tao, President Wang Gang, and Professor Yan Xu provides all-round support for clinical translation.
The company has passed GB/T and ISO medical device quality management system certifications, won a Gold Medal at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions and a First Prize of the Beijing Medical Science and Technology Award, and been recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a Beijing "specialized, refined, differentiated, and innovative" (SRDI) SME, while its core software products have obtained NMPA approval.
On the industrial side, the company has built standardized GMP facilities and flexible production lines; on the commercial side, Beizhuo Medical has innovatively created a "devices + consumables" model and, drawing on three decades of deep industry experience, commands more than 2,500 channel partners and 4,500 end hospitals, giving it the commercial capacity to scale rapidly nationwide.
Anchored in Globalization, Leading the Innovation of Neurological Diagnosis and Treatment with Original Chinese Technologies
With the Pre-A round closed, Beizhuo Medical will move at full speed on type testing across its full product line, animal studies, and multicenter clinical trials, accelerate NMPA registration, and rapidly penetrate medical institutions at all levels.
In its medium- and long-term strategic plan, Beizhuo Medical will launch a globalization strategy, pursue FDA and CE international certifications, and export China's original full-scale non-invasive brain-computer neuromodulation technology to core global markets such as Europe and Asia-Pacific, serving hundreds of millions of patients with neurological disorders.
Guided by its core philosophy of "respect medicine, revitalize medical engineering, improve lives," Beizhuo Medical takes NeuroSpace×AI as its engine, multi-dimensional full-scale non-invasive modulation as its means, and a "modulate the brain + protect the brain" double helix as its strategic framework. It will continue to deepen its work on foundational brain-computer technologies, deepen medicine-engineering integration and global research collaboration, and drive the industry from experience-based, extensive treatment toward a new paradigm of individualized, precise, intelligent care spanning the full disease course, full depth, and full modality — committed to becoming a leader in the global non-invasive brain-computer neuromodulation field.
Li Lei, Executive General Manager of YuanMing Capital, said: "There is still a large amount of unmet clinical need in the diagnosis and treatment of nervous system diseases. Beizhuo Medical insists on starting from real clinical scenarios and has built a synergistic product system around neuroprotection, non-invasive neuromodulation, and digital neurosurgery. The Beizhuo team not only has deep medical industry experience, but also works in close collaboration with top hospitals and research institutes such as Tiantan Hospital, the Beijing Neurosurgical Institute, and the Chinese PLA General Hospital, driving innovation from the clinic to industry. We are optimistic about Beizhuo Medical's positioning in atmospheric-pressure plasma neuroprotection, precision neuromodulation, and intelligent surgical navigation, and look forward to helping the company accelerate clinical validation and commercialization of its core products through the support of the YuanMing Brain Science Fund, so as to provide patients with nervous system diseases more safe and effective treatment options."
ZGC Capital said: "As one of the fields with the most urgent unmet clinical need globally, the diagnosis and treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders still relies on traditional subjective judgment based on physicians' experience and 'one-size-fits-all' standardized regimens. Beizhuo Medical's breakthrough in full-scale non-invasive brain-computer neuromodulation technology, driven by its neural space intelligence model, is expected to overcome the limitations of traditional approaches and correct the misdirection embedded in existing treatment regimens, building the most fundamental infrastructure for the discipline of neurological diagnosis and treatment. We very much look forward to the results of the multicenter IITs the company is advancing. Beizhuo Medical has advantages in its founding team composition, clinical resources, and basic research reserves, and we hope it will keep delivering more good products."
Guangzhou Sairuibo said: "The thing we value most in investing in Beizhuo is that it has genuinely pushed non-invasive modulation into deep brain regions — territory that previously could only be reached through craniotomy and implantation.
Today, the true lesions of diseases such as depression, addictive brain disorders, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and chronic disorders of consciousness are mostly located in deep nuclei such as the thalamus, amygdala, hippocampus, and basal ganglia. For a long time, there were only two routes for deep intervention: implantable DBS requires craniotomy, is costly, and is limited in indications, so the vast majority of patients are unwilling or afraid to accept it; drug therapy, meanwhile, has obvious systemic side effects and limited efficacy at the circuit level. Enabling energy to penetrate the skull non-invasively and reach deep targets directly has long been a global technological gap.
Beizhuo's navigated transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS) is the only one of its three energy modalities that can reach deep brain structures non-invasively, and it pioneered dual-target closed-loop modulation — using dual-source ultrasound for same-frequency alternating or different-frequency sequential stimulation, combined with real-time EEG feedback to dynamically adjust parameters — providing, for the first time, an engineering pathway for "modulating deep nuclei without craniotomy."
We believe that once this pathway is validated by multicenter clinical evidence, the market shape of deep brain modulation will change fundamentally: it will no longer be an exploratory tool of a handful of research centers, but an important breakthrough in the treatment of neurological and psychiatric diseases, expanding from the few patients who can withstand surgery to a population with demand in the tens of millions.
Beizhuo holds the delivery of energy and closed-loop modulation — a complete matrix of navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation, focused ultrasound, and transcranial electrical interference, along with whole-device engineering capability; the Guangzhou Sairuibo team has worked for years in functional neurosurgery and possesses AI-DTI white-matter fiber tract maps, BOLD-fMRI functional localization, real-world data from more than 8,000 cases of refractory brain disorders and a DBS target knowledge base, as well as a mature computer-assisted navigation system. Together, the two exactly close the last mile of deep brain modulation from "able to modulate" to "modulate accurately, affordably, and sustainably": individualized brain network maps give every patient an anatomical prior, letting ultrasound and magnetic field energy follow the map, shortening the parameter-tuning cycle and reducing the off-target rate; our accumulated cases and data in refractory psychiatric disorders, addictive disorders, Parkinson's disease, and other areas become an accelerator for Beizhuo's indication expansion and clinical enrollment; and then we build an integrated closed loop of brain health screening—assessment—intervention—treatment—rehabilitation.
This will benefit the vast majority of patients who previously "dared not, could not, or would not" undergo surgery — they no longer have to choose between the risks of craniotomy and the torment of disease.
We hope to use this round of investment as a bond to deeply couple Sairuibo's capabilities in full-cycle management with Beizhuo's modulation platform, so that China's original non-invasive deep brain modulation technology truly enters routine clinical practice and helps more patients and more families."
