XTALPI Holdings (02228.HK) Surges Over 8% on AI-Driven Drug Discovery Collaboration with Baicheng Pharma and Strategic Synergy Talks with China Merchants Group

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, XtalPi Holdings Limited (02228) surged over 8% again. As of press time, it rose 6.66%, trading at HK$12.97, with a turnover of HK$1.223 billion.

On the news front, XtalPi recently announced the signing of a letter of intent with Hangzhou Bellen Pharmatech Co., Ltd. According to the letter of intent, Bellen Pharmatech has commissioned XtalPi to utilize its "AI + robotics" platform for new drug development. XtalPi, in turn, will commission Bellen Pharmatech to carry out pharmaceutical research and other R&D work. The two parties also plan to address unmet clinical needs across multiple disease areas such as pain, narcolepsy, oncology, autoimmune diseases, and ophthalmology by leveraging XtalPi's AI-driven drug discovery platform. Together, they aim to advance the R&D and incubation of innovative drug pipelines and explore broader commercial collaborations through the establishment of a joint venture at an appropriate time.

Notably, on September 24, it was reported that Wen Shuhao, Chairman of XtalPi, and Ma Jian, CEO, visited the Shenzhen headquarters of China Merchants Group. They held in-depth discussions with Miao Jianmin, Chairman of China Merchants Group, and Shi Dai, General Manager. The purpose of this visit was to seek strategic synergy. XtalPi hopes to use this visit as an opportunity and, with an orientation towards industrial applications, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China Merchants Group and China Merchants Chuangke in areas such as accelerating new drug development, new material discovery, and chemical automation. By leveraging resource advantages, they aim to achieve mutually beneficial development.
