Patient Basic Information

Patient's admission diagnosis: Coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, hypertension, persistent atrial fibrillation

Ultrasound Diagnosis Report: Left Atrial Anteroposterior Diameter 46mm, EF 66%

Surgical Procedure

The surgery was performed under local anesthesia. After routine vascular puncture, the atrial septal puncture sheath was advanced through the inferior vena cava to the right atrium, and the atrial septum was punctured (anterior and inferior) to reach the left atrium. ShineyoMedical's RhythPulse was used.® A 10mm catheter was used for left atrial modeling and substrate mapping with the support of a three-dimensional system.

During the procedure, a 10mm catheter was used for bilateral PVI + posterior wall box. A total of 53 sets of ablations were performed in the left atrium (5 applications per set). After electrical cardioversion, the rhythm converted to atrial flutter, followed by voltage mapping in the right atrium. Mapping revealed the ablation target at the cavotricuspid isthmus. After delivering 3 sets of ablations (5 applications per set) at the cavotricuspid isthmus, the rhythm converted to sinus rhythm.

Surgical Highlights

1、Shorten Operation Time:The surgery took only 60 minutes, nearly an hour shorter than traditional radiofrequency ablation procedures;

2、Multiple Models, Multiple Choices:Offering ablation catheters with various diameters ranging from 10-25mm, providing more options during procedures;

3、3D Precision Positioning:Compatible with mainstream 3D systems for precise targeted ablation, improving success rates.

【ShineyoMedical RhythPulse®-PFA System】

ShineyoMedical's RhythPulse®-PFA System is the first approved Pulse Field Ablation (PFA) system in China that integrates multi-channel, large focal, and targeted ablation, primarily used for treating rapid arrhythmias such as drug-refractory and recurrent atrial fibrillation. Its core advantages include:

Large Focal Spot Design:Using the world's first 10mm ring ablation catheter, a single discharge can cover a lesion area with a diameter of 10mm, increasing the ablation efficiency by more than three times compared to traditional technology.

Targeted Ablation Technology:Equipped with an intelligent proximity detection module, it monitors the contact status between the electrode and myocardial tissue in real time, reducing the risk of hemolysis caused by ineffective discharges, and decreasing postoperative plasma free hemoglobin content by 50%.

Excellent clinical validation:In the clinical trial of 151 cases, the immediate success rate was 100%, and the success rate of atrial fibrillation treatment at 12 months post-operation reached 85.07%, achieving an internationally leading standard.
