Recently, Leadinno Medical Valley, an innovative solutions provider for the neuromodulation and brain-computer interface industry chain, announced the completion of a nearly 200 million yuan B-round financing. This round of financing was jointly led by Shunxi Fund and Yizhuang Guotou, with follow-up investments from Galaxy Innovation Capital, Guangzhou Industrial Investment Capital, and Yizhuang Investment.

As one of the few platform-based, full-stack neural modulation companies in China, Leadinno Medical Valley has been continuously focusing on the two technical platforms of wireless power and in-body chips since its establishment in 2017.

In the current critical window period of technological leap in the field of neuromodulation, Chinese enterprises have built a solid industrial chain foundation by leveraging complete local supply chains and rapid iteration capabilities. Meanwhile, a large patient base provides abundant samples for clinical exploration. Coupled with the synergistic development of AI algorithms and brain-computer interface technologies, the industry is being propelled toward breakthroughs in closed-loop intelligence. Against this backdrop, Leadinno Medical Valley has established a wireless power-carrying and self-developed chip technology platform, following a development path that starts from clinical needs → innovative design + supply chain R&D (in-house core components) → striving to create globally competitive BIC products. This platform enables seamless integration between neuromodulation products and brain-computer interface products, paving the way for more innovative clinical applications.

Currently, the company has established collaborations with over 20 clinical centers led by the China-Japan Friendship Hospital and is working with research institutions such as Peking University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences to advance fundamental research in neuromodulation, forming a comprehensive solution for neuromodulation. Meanwhile, the company is actively partnering with brain-computer interface enterprises to explore cutting-edge areas like promoting awakening in disorders of consciousness, lower limb motor rehabilitation after spinal cord injury, and post-stroke rehabilitation. Leveraging the dual-platform barriers of wireless energy transmission and self-developed chips, the company is building a product portfolio covering different indications and patient levels while accelerating its international expansion.

Regarding the acquisition of this round of financing, Xu Tianrui, founder of Leadinno Medical Valley, stated: The field of neuromodulation has become the most active product track both in China and internationally, with various innovative clinical applications constantly emerging. Leadinno Medical Valley has consistently adhered to a technical route that combines independent innovation with clinical needs, and we look forward to becoming a representative Chinese neuromodulation enterprise.

Shunxi Fund stated: The pharmaceuticals and healthcare industry is crucial to Beijing's innovation-driven development and cultivation of new productive forces. By the end of 2023, Beijing established a 20 billion yuan pharmaceuticals and healthcare industry investment fund, focusing on cutting-edge areas such as innovative drugs, advanced medical devices, cell and gene therapies, and digital healthcare. Leadinno Medical Valley has developed two key technology platforms—"Wireless Power Transmission" and "Self-developed In-body Stimulation Chips." Their innovative wireless products not only significantly simplify surgeries and improve patient experiences but also represent an important future direction for neuromodulation. Investing in Leadinno Medical Valley marks a strategic move in the frontier field of neuromodulation and brain science, with expectations that its groundbreaking technologies will offer more patients better treatment options and hope for a better life.

Yizhuang Guotou stated: Leadinno Medical Valley, based on wireless energy transmission technology, is developing a series of active electrical stimulation products in the field of neuromodulation therapy to address many pain points of existing implant procedures. It is a typical potential platform enterprise with technical differentiation, expandable applications, and genuine demand. We also recognize the founding team's excellent capabilities in product definition, engineering, and commercialization. We believe that the company can achieve scientific and commercial success in the current market environment of replacing the old with the new, bring benefits to patients, create substantial returns for investors, and contribute to Beijing Economic-Technological Development Zone’s systematic cultivation of a new leading enterprise in the medical device industry.

A relevant investment director of Guangzhou Industrial Investment Capital stated: Leadinno Medical Valley's self-developed wireless energy transmission technology platform has the potential for various neuromodulation applications. We look forward to Leadinno Medical Valley's products being launched in the market as soon as possible, targeting international markets, planning for the future, and bringing more treatment options to patients to improve their quality of life.

Yizhuang Investment stated: Implantable neuromodulation has become an important treatment for various diseases. Leadinno Medical Valley has gathered a research and development management team with both profound industry experience and outstanding achievements. With an efficient innovation R&D platform, it has developed promising wireless power-carrying products in cutting-edge fields such as SCS (Spinal Cord Stimulation) and PNS (Peripheral Nerve Stimulation), demonstrating excellent R&D capabilities and highly efficient execution. Yizhuang Investment is pleased to participate in this round of financing for Leadinno Medical Valley and looks forward to the clinical success of the wireless power-carrying spinal cord stimulation (SCS) product, hoping that the wireless treatment solution originating from China will soon benefit patients worldwide.
