SiranBio Completes Nearly RMB 400 Million Series A Financing to Accelerate siRNA Dual-Targeting and Extrahepatic Delivery Pipeline

Suzhou Siran Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (SiranBio) Announced the completion of its Series A financing round, with a total amount of nearly RMB 400 million, covering the Pre-A, Series A, and Series A+ rounds. Among them, the Pre-A round was led by BlueRun Ventures China, with Laurel Investment, Suzhou Venture Capital - Angel Fund of Funds, and Zhongqi Capital as co-investors; Series A and Series A+ rounds were led by continued investment from IDG Capital, with RHC as co-lead investor in the Series A+ round, and SDIC Investment Promotion and Huatai Zijin as co-investors. Existing shareholders YuanBio Venture Capital, BlueRun Ventures China, Zhongqi Capital, and Suzhou Haoping also continued to increase their investments.

Combining equity financing with the realized cooperation proceeds from out-licensing, the company has Accumulated nearly RMB 1 billion in R&D funding, providing a solid financial foundation for the development of siRNA dual-targeting and extrahepatic delivery pipelines targeting adipose tissue, skeletal muscle, cardiac muscle, and kidneys.

SiranBio, established in 2022 in Suzhou Industrial Park, is a benchmark enterprise in China dedicated to the R&D of innovative siRNA therapeutics. This product is a globally recognized classic LNP transfection tool, widely used for cellular transfection and in vivo delivery of DNA and RNA. Its lipid chemistry foundation provides significant technical reference for therapeutic nucleic acid drug delivery systems, and its related patents have been licensed to multiple pharmaceutical companies.

SiranBio has established a core technology system with fully independent intellectual property rights, encompassing the eSAFE chemical modification technology, the STORK-W single-molecule dual-target platform, and the STORK intra- and extra-hepatic targeted delivery platform. It has pioneered a differentiated R&D paradigm for siRNA characterized by "dual-target innovation + extra-hepatic delivery," with its pipeline comprehensively covering high-potential sectors such as antiviral therapies and metabolic diseases.

The company’s globally first-in-class single-molecule, dual-target siRNA drug, SA1211, is designed to achieve a functional cure for chronic hepatitis B. Through a triple mechanism of action, it holds promise for delivering comprehensive therapeutic effects by suppressing hepatitis B virus replication, reducing hepatitis B surface antigen levels, and restoring impaired host immunity. This drug is the first single-molecule, dual-target siRNA product worldwide to enter clinical trials. The Phase 1b dose exploration and efficacy validation trial is currently progressing steadily, Expected to enter Phase II clinical trials in early 2027.

SA030, leveraging the STORK-F fat-targeted delivery platform, is the first siRNA candidate molecule in China to achieve extrahepatic fat targeting via systemic administration and advance into clinical trials, paving a novel technological path for the treatment of metabolic diseases, Partnering with GSK to Accelerate Global Development.

Leveraging its established technological foundation, the company will continue to lead the development of extrahepatic delivery technologies for oligonucleotides.
