Recently, Navis Biopharmaceuticals (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (Navi Therapeutics) officially announced the completion of its Series A financing. Founded only about one and a half years ago, the company has sequentially closed two financing rounds — an angel round and a Series A round — with cumulative funding totaling hundreds of millions of RMB.

The angel round was led by Trinity Innovation Fund, with participation from Oriza Seed and Fenglei Capital. The Series A round was led by Legend Capital and co-led by Bayland Capital, with follow-on participation from BioTrack Capital and other leading funds and strategic investors; all institutional shareholders from the angel round also participated and increased their commitments.

1Directly Addressing Clinical Pain Points in Solid Tumors: Building a Proprietary AI-Closed-Loop ADC Platform

Tumor heterogeneity and therapeutic resistance in solid tumors remain the core industry challenges limiting the efficacy of conventional ADCs. As one of the few AI-in-the-loop innovative ADC developers in China, Navi Therapeutics is guided by the mission of "Science to Hope" and focuses on the solid tumor space to develop differentiated next-generation antibody-drug conjugates.

The company was co-founded by Dr. Han Pei and Dr. Li Wei, who previously led the R&D and overseas licensing of global innovative-target ADC projects with transaction values exceeding US$1 billion. The team integrates senior experts across the full ADC R&D chain, translational medicine, CMC, and clinical development, while attracting top AI-driven drug design (AIDD) talent to build an interdisciplinary R&D workforce.

Leveraging its proprietary NaviMIG® multi-specific antibody platform and ReviLOAD® payload platform, the company has built a comprehensive ADC R&D system covering antibody screening, linker-payload engineering, site-specific conjugation, and in vitro/in vivo efficacy evaluation. AI is deeply embedded throughout the drug development process, forming a closed-loop R&D flywheel — "AI molecular design → laboratory validation → data feedback iteration → continuous algorithm optimization" — that significantly enhances drug discovery efficiency and candidate molecule success rates.

At the pipeline level, the preclinical development of the company's two core ADC candidates with First-in-Class (FIC) potential is progressing steadily, with plans to submit Investigational New Drug (IND) applications in the first half of 2027.

2Capital Markets Show Strong Consensus: Multiple Institutions Analyze the Core Long-Term Value of Enterprises

Both new and existing investors have expressed strong recognition of Navi Therapeutics' differentiated, AI-enabled ADC technology platform, its comprehensive industrialization capabilities, and the potential of its pipeline:

Dr. Qi Fei, Executive Director at Legend Capital, stated:

"As AI infrastructure matures, we observe that AIDD is entering the 2.0 era, characterized by a 'New Drug + AI' model in vertical domains. After experiencing rapid development from following to innovation, the next round of upgrades and iterations in the ADC industry will shift from target combinations to payload innovations. This transition urgently requires a deep understanding of biology and an intelligent R&D paradigm. Navi Therapeutics has established an integrated technology platform covering AIDD, multi-antibody engineering, payloads, and conjugation processes, enabling the continuous generation of innovative molecules. The team combines a global R&D perspective with strong execution capabilities. We are optimistic about the company's technological roadmap and long-term strategy, and look forward to the smooth advancement of its pipeline into clinical trials."

Dr. Guo Xiang, Project Lead at Kangjun Capital, stated:

"Leveraging an AI-in-the-loop R&D system, the company has built a differentiated ADC platform that delivers unique solutions to address industry pain points such as tumor heterogeneity and drug resistance in solid tumors. The team possesses end-to-end development experience for First-in-Class ADCs, with unique insights and extensive accumulation in the application of AI in translational medicine. Additionally, the company is capable of international collaboration and commercialization of innovative drugs. We are highly optimistic about the long-term value of the company's next-generation ADC platform and look forward to its provision of safer, more efficacious therapeutic options that extend survival for cancer patients."

Guo Jiepei, Project Leader of Sany Innovation, stated:

"Since our angel-round investment, we have remained consistently bullish on Navi Therapeutics. The company leverages AI to empower the entire R&D process of antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) therapeutics, establishing a distinctive technology platform that directly addresses the core challenges in treating solid tumors. Navi's R&D team boasts extensive experience in translational medicine and a robust track record in ADC development, complemented by the operational capabilities of an international biotech enterprise. We look forward to the company's continued delivery of tangible R&D outcomes."

3Use of Funds for This Round: Accelerate Clinical Advancement of the Pipeline and Strengthen AI Technological Barriers

The Series A fundraising will be concentrated on four major development directions:

Advancing preclinical research for two first-in-class ADC candidates and completing all preparatory work for IND filings;

Iteratively upgrading two core proprietary technology platforms — the NaviMIG® multi-specific antibody platform and the ReviLOAD® payload platform;

Continuously refining the AI-driven closed-loop ADC R&D system to strengthen integration between algorithms and experimental data;

Recruiting top R&D talent across antibody, AI, clinical, and CMC disciplines to solidify the company's foundation for long-term innovation.

Dr. Han Pei, Founder of Navi Therapeutics, expressed sincere gratitude for the continued trust and strong support from all existing and new shareholders. Drug resistance in solid tumors and tumor heterogeneity remain core challenges urgently requiring breakthroughs in the ADC industry. The company will continue to deepen the integrated innovation of AI and ADC technologies, iterate its self-developed technology platform, and accelerate the development of next-generation ADC products with differentiated advantages. In the future, the company will remain committed to a long-term innovation strategy, promoting the clinical translation of cutting-edge scientific achievements to provide more precise and efficient novel therapeutic solutions for solid tumor patients worldwide.
