Recently, according to the official website of the National Healthcare Security Administration, this year, healthcare security departments at all levels have taken proactive measures to accelerate the reform of instant settlement, achieving remarkable results. To further advance the reform of instant settlement, the National Healthcare Security Administration issued the "Notice on Comprehensively Promoting the Expansion and Quality Improvement of the Reform of Instant Settlement of Medical Insurance Funds." By the end of 2026, the goal is to achieve instant settlement funds accounting for more than 80% of the local medical insurance fund’s monthly settlement funds. The settlement funds will cover employee medical insurance funds (including maternity insurance) and urban and rural resident medical insurance funds. Regions with conditions can explore including critical illness insurance funds, medical assistance funds, etc., within the scope of instant settlement. The settlement funds will cover general outpatient services, outpatient services for chronic and special diseases, hospitalization, maternity, and pharmacy medication expenses. 2. Tongji Hospital Collaborates on New Brain-Computer Interface Treatment for Parkinson's Disease


Recently, Tongji Hospital of Huazhong University of Science and Technology held a Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) Strategy Seminar and the First Working Meeting of the Research Institute. During the meeting, the hospital released its BCI development strategy blueprint and officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chinese BCI company "Neurodome," marking another significant link in the collaborative innovation chain between hospitals and enterprises. This collaboration between Tongji Hospital and "Neurodome" will continue under the dual-PI (Principal Investigator) system, driven by both clinicians and engineers, to jointly develop new therapeutic BCI solutions for Parkinson's disease, conduct clinical trials, and validate their safety and efficacy. It is reported that Tongji Hospital, relying on its comprehensive GCP platform and ethical review system, has provided full-process support for 15 BCI clinical research projects, forming one of the largest BCI clinical research clusters in China, covering the widest range of diseases.
