Blackstone and TPG Close to Acquiring Hologic for Over $17 Billion.

According to informed sources,Blackstone Group and TPG Inc. have entered the advanced negotiation phase to acquire medical device manufacturer Hologic Inc., with the transaction valuation, including debt, potentially exceeding $17 billion (approximately 121.1 billion yuan).

Informed sources who requested anonymity said that the deal might be announced within the next few days, with the acquisition price currently under negotiation exceeding $75 per share. Following Bloomberg's report on the talks, Hologic's shares rose about 6% in after-hours trading and closed up 2% at $69.85 in New York on Friday, corresponding to a market value of over $15.5 billion.

In May this year, two private equity firms offered an acquisition bid of approximately $16 billion (including debt), or $70-72 per share, but were rejected by Hologic. Its current stock price has fallen to around $66, corresponding to a market value of approximately $14.7 billion.
