To advance the precise diagnosis and disease research of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) and improve the diagnosis and treatment level of rare diseases in China, ReviR Therapeutics has jointly launched an initiative with the CMT Mutual Aid Home."Thousand People, Thousand Cases" CMT Free Diagnosis Program. This project aims to cover the whole countryFree Genetic Testing Services Provided to 1,000 Suspected CMT Patients, helping to make a clear diagnosis, clarify the classification, and promote the development of clinical research.

CMT is a group of hereditary peripheral neuropathies that cause nerve degeneration. Patients experience gradual muscle atrophy in the legs and arms, leading to abnormal hand and foot function, limited balance, and difficulties with walking and running.

Understand the typical symptoms of CMT and perform a self-check.

The prevalence of the disease is approximately 1/2500. However, many people remain undiagnosed or frequently experience misdiagnosis.

This disease is highly clinically and genetically heterogeneous, with multiple subtypes. Genetic testing is the gold standard for diagnosis. Achieving a clear diagnosis and subtype classification is not only crucial for the patient but also has a significant impact on future generations.

Understanding the Necessity of Genetic Testing

Project SynergyPeking University Third Hospital, Xiangya Third Hospital of Central South University, First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Capital Institute of PediatricsJointly advance, gathering top expert resources to promote the comprehensive development of CMT research, diagnosis, and treatment.

Participants need to sign the informed consent form and cooperate in providing health information and biological samples, and meet the followingAnyCondition:

1) Has typical CMT disease symptoms;

2) Nerve electrophysiological examination confirmed peripheral nerve damage;

3) Individuals with a family history and CMT-related clinical symptoms who have not undergone genetic testing (if other family members have been genetically diagnosed, consider combining with first-generation validation);

4) With CMT-related clinical symptoms, genetic testing was performed but showed negative results.

The testing fee is covered by the project, and you can choose.Go to the designated hospital, complete the sampling under the guidance of a professional physician,You can also apply for a "home sampling kit"., complete the testing via mail. All samples and data are strictly encrypted and de-identified when used for scientific research, technological innovation, and clinical application purposes, fully protecting your personal rights.

Those interested in applying for free testing slots can scan the following QR code to register. After the review is passed, someone will contact you to follow up on subsequent matters (already registered).CMT Mutual Aid Home of Qianli Xing2025Peroneal Muscular Atrophy Patient AssociationThose who participate in the on-site free clinic do not need to register again).
