Recently,Wuhan Asia Heart General HospitalAs one of the first clinical application units in China, byPresident Su Xi,Director Tang Cheng and his teamApplication of AccuPulse Medical®Single-use Cardiac Pulse Electric Field Ablation Catheter and AccuBlator®AccuPulse successfully performed a pulsed field ablation (PFA) surgery on a patient with atrial fibrillation.
The successful completion of the surgery not only marks the official entry of this innovative domestically-produced PFA system into the clinical application stage, but also, with its three core advantages of integrated circular catheter mapping and modeling, efficient ablation, and excellent safety, provides a better option for atrial fibrillation interventional treatment.
Case Summary
CASE: Male, 51 years old, 67kg, Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

Based on the preoperative examination, the surgery selected AccuPulse's 15-20mm adjustable loop diameter cardiac pulse ablation catheter, achieving 100% pulmonary vein isolation with a total ablation time of only 40.95 seconds. The operation proceeded smoothly, and the patient recovered well post-surgery. During the procedure, impedance contact indication and flexible electrode selection ensured targeted local energy delivery according to the ablation strategy, maintaining effectiveness while avoiding excessive ablation.

Expert Commentary
Director Tang Cheng spoke highly of the clinical performance of AccuPulse’s PFA system this time. A single catheter directly meets the needs of mapping, modeling, and ablation, efficiently completing the construction of a three-dimensional electroanatomical model of the heart and precisely locating the lesion. The maneuverability of the catheter is impressive, easily reaching areas traditionally considered challenging. Combined with intelligent contact sensing and flexible electrode pairing functions, the ablation process during surgery is handled with ease.

About AccuPulse Cardiac Pulse Ablation System

Flexible Adaptation, Precise Contact:Its unique 7.5F adjustable loop diameter design can flexibly match the pulmonary vein anatomy of different patients, achieving personalized adaptation and significantly improving the adaptability and safety of the operation.
Intelligent docking, real-time feedback:The system is equipped with AccuPulse's independently developed impedance contact indication technology, which can monitor the catheter-tissue contact quality in real time, clearly indicate the contact status, assist operators in achieving stable and reliable catheter manipulation, and provide a solid guarantee for precise ablation.
Efficient Integration, Streamlined Processes:The circular catheter integrates mapping, modeling, and ablation functions, rapidly constructing a three-dimensional electroanatomical model of the heart during surgery, accurately locating lesions, and significantly reducing the reliance on additional high-density mapping catheters in traditional surgeries. This not only decreases surgical complexity but also saves on consumable costs, providing atrial fibrillation patients with a safer, more effective, and less invasive treatment option.
AccuPulse's newly approved single-use cardiac pulsed field ablation catheter has overcome the challenges of stability and anatomical adaptability in PFA ablation catheters, providing a precise and reliable solution for pulmonary vein isolation (PVI). AccuPulse®The AccuPulse cardiac pulsed field ablation catheter features a unique 7.5F adjustable loop diameter design, providing flexibility to address pulmonary vein ablations in different anatomical structures. Intelligent contact sensing and flexible electrode selection empower operators with precise control for accurate pulsed field ablation!

Safer:7.5F Ultra-thin Catheter, Reducing Tissue Damage
More Stable:Smart Snap Tips for More Precise Operation

About Wuhan Asia Heart Hospital

Wuhan Asia Heart Hospital's Cardiovascular Internal and Surgical Department is one of the early cardiovascular disease professional diagnosis and treatment centers in China that integrates cardiology, cardiac surgery, critical care medicine, and medical imaging. It is also a key specialty in Wuhan City. In September 2020, it passed the national Atrial Fibrillation Center certification, and in December 2021, it received the national Heart Failure Center certification. The department is divided into four parts: the surgical operation unit, interventional operation unit, intensive care unit, and ward unit. The Cardiovascular Internal and Surgical Department consists of five subspecialties: coronary heart disease, arrhythmia, valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease, and vascular diseases. Asia Heart Hospital maintains regular exchanges and cooperation with top domestic and international heart disease diagnosis and treatment institutions, establishing a scientific research platform aligned with international standards.
