On October 27, Interface News learned from Novartis that Novartis and CMS's wholly-owned subsidiary, CMS Vision, officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Starting from November 1, 2025, Novartis will transfer the exclusive import, commercial promotion, and distribution rights of its two ophthalmology products, Lucentis (ranibizumab injection) and Beovu (brolucizumab injection), in China to CMS Vision. The agreement will last for five years.

Novartis stated that this strategic agreement marks a further implementation of its global "focus" strategy, which focuses on four core therapeutic areas—cardiovascular, renal and metabolic, oncology, immunology and neuroscience—to more efficiently integrate resources and provide patients with innovative drugs of high clinical value.
