Recently,Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Capital Medical UniversityAs one of the first clinical application units in China for AccuPulse's cardiac pulse ablation system,Professor Long Deyong's TeamDr. Li MengmengUnder the leadership of, successfully used AccuPulse®Single-use Cardiac Pulsed Field Ablation Catheter and AccuBlator®The cardiac pulsed electric field ablation system completed a paroxysmal atrial fibrillation pulsed electric field ablation (PFA) surgery.

The successful completion of the surgery not only marks the official entry of this innovative PFA system made in China into the clinical application stage, but also, with its three core advantages of integrated circular catheter mapping and modeling, efficient ablation, and excellent safety, provides a better option for atrial fibrillation interventional treatment.

Case Summary

The patient is a 72-year-old female with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Based on the preoperative CT, the operator selected the AccuPulse 15-20mm PFA catheter. The design of the adjustable circular loop not only ensured smooth modeling and easy entry into the pulmonary veins but also achieved precise and stable operation through an intelligent contact system and real-time contact feedback.

The ablation process was performed on the ostia and vestibule areas of four pulmonary veins—LIPV, LSPV, RSPV, and RIPV—using pulsed field ablation. The operation proceeded smoothly with a total duration of only 67 minutes and a cumulative ablation time of 29.75 seconds, achieving a 100% immediate isolation effect.

Expert Commentary

Dr. Li Mengmeng commented after the surgery: "The catheter operation during the entire ablation process was very smooth, with complete pulmonary vein isolation achieved, and the operation time was significantly reduced. We are highly satisfied with the use of the AccuPulse Cardiac Pulse Ablation System this time. The circular adjustable loop design allows us to perform mapping and ablation in one step, greatly simplifying the surgical procedure. Particularly, the intuitive real-time contact indication function ensures more precise ablation sites, enhancing the safety of the surgery."

About AccuPulse Cardiac Pulse Ablation System

Flexible Adaptation, Precise Contact:Its unique 7.5F adjustable loop diameter design can flexibly match the pulmonary vein anatomy of different patients, achieving personalized adaptation and significantly enhancing the adaptability and safety of the operation.

Intelligent docking, real-time feedback:The system is equipped with AccuPulse's independently developed impedance contact prompting technology, which can monitor the catheter-tissue contact quality in real time, clearly indicate the contact status, assist operators in achieving stable and reliable catheter manipulation, and provide a solid guarantee for precise ablation.

Efficient Integration, Streamlined Processes:The circular catheter integrates mapping, modeling, and ablation functions, rapidly constructing a three-dimensional electroanatomical model of the heart during surgery, precisely locating lesions, and significantly reducing reliance on additional high-density mapping catheters in traditional surgeries. This not only decreases surgical complexity but also saves on consumable costs, providing atrial fibrillation patients with a safer, more effective, and less invasive treatment option.

AccuPulse's disposable cardiac pulsed field ablation catheter has been approved, overcoming the challenges of stability and anatomical adaptability in PFA ablation catheters, providing a precise and reliable solution for pulmonary vein isolation (PVI). AccuPulseThe unique 7.5F adjustable loop diameter design of the AccuPulse cardiac pulsed field ablation catheter allows for flexible adaptation to pulmonary vein ablations in different anatomical structures. Intelligent contact sensing and flexible electrode selection provide operators with complete control, enabling precise pulsed field ablation!
