Johnson & Johnson Announces China Innovation Center to Be Established in Beijing

Reporters learned recently from the Johnson & Johnson Medical Technology China Innovation Ecosystem Experience Day event that the Johnson & Johnson China Innovation Center, the first "industry-academia-research-application" empowerment matrix of Johnson & Johnson Medical Technology in China, will be located in Beijing.

According to reports, in May this year, Johnson & Johnson and the Beijing Municipal Health Commission reached a strategic cooperation to jointly improve the accessibility of high-quality medical resources, accelerate the construction of a smart healthcare system, and create a new interconnected healthcare service ecosystem. As a key part of the cooperation, the Johnson & Johnson China Science and Technology Innovation Center will focus on three strategic areas: digital healthcare innovation, professional talent incubation, and clinical application of electrophysiology. It aims to develop patient-centered solutions, enhance clinical diagnosis and treatment standards, and expedite the transformation and application of advanced medical technologies.

In recent years, Johnson & Johnson has continuously deepened its strategic cooperation in China and constantly upgraded its local "smart" manufacturing capabilities. In September this year, Johnson & Johnson Medical Technologies announced a strategic partnership with Ruilong Surgical to accelerate the advancement of innovative products from Johnson & Johnson Medical Technologies and Haisanyi laparoscopic surgery under Ruilong Surgical.RobotWidely used in China.

In addition, Johnson & Johnson Medical Technology announced this year the launch of a capacity upgrade project for the surgical factory at its Suzhou Industrial Park. By integrating production lines and upgrading smart manufacturing technologies, the project aims to create a smart manufacturing cluster and supply chain base, further enhancing overall production efficiency. The Johnson & Johnson Medical Technology Suzhou Industrial Park is the company's largest integrated, comprehensive, and world-class medical technology industrial park in China. It has successively delivered "Suzhou-made" products to the Chinese market, including surgical staplers, the next-generation antibacterial Vicryl absorbable sutures, and the HARMONIC 7s ultrasonic scalpel.

Johnson & Johnson Medical Technologies introduced the world's first natural-orifice robotic system for diagnosis and treatment, MONARCH, and the Haishan Yi split-body laparoscopic surgical robot, among other cutting-edge products during the Experience Day event.
