Structural Heart Disease Product Developer in Cardiac Surgery

Recently, Kingstron Bio, an outstanding co-creation partner of Haier Capital in the medical and health field, announced significant news: its self-developed world's first pre-loaded dry valve ProStyle A®, completed the first batch of clinical implants in China at Fuwai Central China Cardiovascular Hospital. This success provides "more durable" new treatment options for patients with complex valve diseases, marking a technological advancement for high-end medical devices in China within the transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) field.

This clinical surgery was completed by a team led by Director Liu Yuhao from Fuwai Central China Cardiovascular Hospital. The case was extremely challenging: the patient’s annulus was only 19.3mm (approximately the thickness of an adult thumb), the left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) measured 17.7mm, and there was also a "suicidal left ventricle" (end-systolic diameter of the left ventricular cavity was only 20-25mm). Balloon expansion posed a high risk of circulatory collapse, making the surgical risk extremely high.
At a critical moment, Kingstron Bio's ProStyle A® pre-loaded dry valve demonstrated excellent clinical adaptability.
Rapid Response, Stabilize the "Heart" Cycle:The pre-installed design significantly shortens the valve preparation time. During the critical moment when the patient's blood pressure briefly drops after balloon pre-dilation, the team quickly completes the valve implantation, immediately restoring hemodynamic stability.
Precise and Controllable, Breaking Through Anatomical Limitations:For the patient with a "horizontal heart" and complex anatomical structure, the valve delivery system, with its slim size and excellent flexibility, successfully passed through the arch and crossed the valve without the aid of auxiliary tools, precisely anchoring at the target position.
0 Pressure Difference Efficacy, Demonstrating Durable Strength:Postoperative catheter measurement showed that the patient's aortic pressure gradient decreased from 53 mmHg preoperatively to 0 mmHg, and echocardiography revealed no significant regurgitation or paravalvular leakage — as Professor Chen Tongfeng commented: "This is not only a triumph of valve morphology design but also reflects the superior performance of the supra-annular valve structure and anti-calcification materials, providing reliable assurance for the patient’s long-term survival."
As the world's first pre-installed dry valve, the clinical success of ProStyle A® is no accident, backed by Kingstron Bio's years of technical沉淀 in the valve field.
Kingstron Bio's patented Micro-EX anti-calcification technology removes cellular debris and phospholipids from tissues and blocks free aldehyde groups through nanoscale processes, eliminating the root causes of calcification. Compared to traditional glutaraldehyde wet storage methods, dry storage better preserves the natural flexibility of pericardial tissue, ensuring long-term stability of valve leaflet movement—aligning closely with the 2025 ESC expert consensus recommendation that "the first valve should be one proven for long-term durability," providing technical support for the full lifecycle management of patients.
For the issue of "insufficient effective orifice area (PPM)" that often occurs in patients with small annulus, ProStyle A® adopts a unique waist-cinching structure: it ensures implant safety through an anchoring design while maximizing the effective orifice area (EOA), effectively reducing the risk of circulatory collapse. The zero-pressure difference achieved in this surgery is the best evidence of its efficacy.
The pre-loading design eliminates the assembly steps in traditional valve procedures, not only shortening operation time and reducing handling errors, but also securing the "golden rescue window" for patients in critical moments. It is especially suitable for complex high-risk cases, driving TAVR procedures towards a safer and more efficient upgrade.
Good investment is not only the injection of capital, but also the co-creation of value. In the future, Haier Capital will continue to focus on "hard technology" enterprises in the fields of healthcare and intelligent technology. With deeper ecosystem collaboration, it will accompany co-creation partners in breaking through technical barriers and expanding market boundaries, contributing capital strength to safeguarding the health of the Chinese people and promoting the global advancement of China's medical device industry.
