The 2025 APEC CEO Summit was held in Gyeongju, South Korea, from October 28 to 31. Han Bicheng, founder and CEO of BrainCo, was invited to attend the meeting as a member of the Chinese entrepreneur delegation and listened to the written speech titled "Play an APEC Leading Role in Promoting Global Development and Prosperity" delivered by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

President Xi Jinping elaborated on China's propositions regarding openness and cooperation, innovation-driven development, and inclusive benefits in his speech. He proposed that the Asia-Pacific region should play a leading role to inject more stability and certainty into the global economy. As a member of the Chinese entrepreneurs delegation participating in the APEC Summit for two consecutive years, Han Bicheng engaged with government and business representatives from 21 member economies during the conference to focus on issues such as open trade, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and green growth.

Notably, just before the convening of this APEC meeting, the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China adopted recommendations on formulating the "15th Five-Year Plan," which for the first time included "brain-computer interface" among the future industries for forward-looking development. Together with quantum technology, biomanufacturing, hydrogen energy and nuclear fusion energy, embodied intelligence, and sixth-generation mobile communication, brain-computer interface has become a new growth point. This signal indicates that brain-computer interface technology is transitioning from cutting-edge exploration to a new phase of industrial development, bringing new opportunities and responsibilities for related enterprises.

Against this backdrop, BrainCo will continue to focus on the research and application of core technologies, actively respond to China's strategic deployment, and promote the in-depth application of brain-computer interface technology in people's livelihood fields such as rehabilitation, health management, and human-computer interaction. In the future, the company will also participate in international cooperation with a more open attitude, continuously showcasing China's innovative strength in the field of brain-computer interfaces to the world.

"When interviewed by the Xinhua News Agency, Han Bicheng expressed that he was greatly inspired by President Xi Jinping's written speech. 'China’s vast market space provides us with sufficient room to accumulate application experience and optimize product performance as an innovative enterprise. China’s openness and innovation are constantly unleashing new opportunities, and its thriving innovation ecosystem is injecting new vitality into global technological progress.'"

He pointed out that in the face of new international situations, only by continuously adhering to openness and cooperation can challenges be transformed into opportunities for common development. "Open cooperation has brought us tangible results. Technological innovation requires the convergence of global wisdom and should also allow the world to share in its achievements."

In 2026, China will host the APEC meeting. This will be the third time for China to act as the host country following Shanghai in 2001 and Beijing in 2014. Next year's APEC in China will not only serve as an important opportunity to showcase the country’s image of openness and cooperation, but also provide a new stage for future industries, including brain-computer interface (BCI), to tell China’s innovation story to the world. BrainCo looks forward to presenting more innovative achievements at the 2026 APEC in China, demonstrating the development vitality and responsibility of China’s BCI technology to the world.
