Shanghai, November 6th, by reporter Jiang Yu (China News Service) — The medical device and healthcare展区 of the 8th China International Import Expo has gathered numerous well-known enterprises in the industry, including 11 of the world's top 500 pharmaceutical companies and the global top 10 medical device companies. They have brought internationally leading medical innovation products, cutting-edge technologies, and services to support the construction of "Healthy China."

Medtronic once again showcased over a hundred innovative products and solutions at this year's CIIE, including several products on display for the first time.

The Asia-Pacific premiere of Medtronic's Inceptiv, the world's first rechargeable closed-loop spinal cord neurostimulator, was named one of the most groundbreaking innovations of 2024 by TIME magazine. The system can sense changes in spinal cord bio-signals during different movements and automatically adjust stimulation in real time to help patients with chronic pain achieve a more consistent treatment experience.

Medtronic's five China-first exhibits include the Affera 3D Electrophysiology Navigation and Pulsed RF Ablation System, the Avalus Ultra Heart Valve that closely mimics the function of the human body's natural valves, the OmniaSecure Implantable Defibrillator Lead with a diameter of only about 1.6 millimeters, and more.

At this year's CIIE, Sanofi is focusing on cardiovascular, metabolic, respiratory, and oncology fields, showcasing several "first-in-class" or "best-in-class" innovative drugs and vaccines. Among them, the innovative cardiovascular drugs Aficamten tablets and Plerixafor sodium injection are making their global debut.

As a second-generation cardiac myosin inhibitor, Aficamten tablets are a potential "best-in-class" treatment option in the field of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, ushering in a new era of targeted therapy with "precise modulation" for this "hidden killer" that can cause sudden death; Volanesorsen sodium injection is the first siRNA drug targeting the innovative APOC3 mRNA, which is expected to break the dilemma of "no controllable drugs" for familial chylomicronemia syndrome, bringing new hope for the management of severe hypertriglyceridemia.New Hope

At this year's CIIE, Philips showcased nearly 50 innovative products and solutions in the fields of precision diagnosis and treatment, intelligent intervention and imaging, and personal health. Among them were 10 "China-first" new products and more than 10 health technology solutions empowered by artificial intelligence, such as the clinical multi-nuclear magnetic resonance (MR7700), helium-free magnetic resonance (BlueSeal 2.0), and the SyncPro T900 non-invasive ventilator.

Philips Booth Showcases Numerous Innovations from Professional Healthcare to Personal Health through Diverse Interactive Designs. In the "Heart Care Station" area, visitors can experience Philips' intelligent applications in the entire cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment process. At the "Ageless Youth Rejuvenation Station" of the booth, visitors can feel how technology integrates into daily life and experience Philips' health management concept of "From Hospital to Home."

Boston Scientific showcased over 80 cutting-edge exhibits in the field of minimally invasive interventions at this year's CIIE. Among them, 22 products that have transformed from "exhibits to commercial products" thanks to the "CIIE effect" made a collective appearance, and six new products covering areas such as elderly health, oncology intervention, and weight management debuted for the first time. These include the FARAWAVE NAV single-use magnetically navigated pulsed field ablation (PFA) catheter, the world’s first male stress urinary incontinence sling — AdVance XP urethral sling, and the world’s first and only reverse-flow thrombectomy protection device approved for transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR) procedures — ENROUTE transcarotid reverse-flow thrombectomy protection system.

During the 6-day exhibition, Boston Scientific will host professional forums at its booth on topics such as stroke prevention and treatment, the development of coronary intervention technologies, obesity chronic disease management, and AI applications in healthcare. The company will also sign agreements with government, enterprises, and medical institutions to promote technology implementation and industry chain collaboration. Additionally, it will issue a public welfare initiative for health management, conduct innovative product promotions, and carry out science popularization activities to further enhance its impact.Innovative HealthcareAccessibility of Results.
