At the 8th China International Import Expo, Bayer today held the launch ceremony for the "Long-term Protection, 'Yue' Enjoy Peace of Mind" Yasmin large package, introducing its star product, the Yasmin 84-tablet pack, which covers three complete medication cycles, further enhancing the convenience, continuity, and adherence of the medication.

For patients with chronic diseases who have clear clinical diagnoses, stable medication regimens, require long-term drug treatment, and are assessed by professional doctors as eligible for long-term prescriptions, larger packaging can alleviate the situation of frequent drug purchases and inappropriate discontinuation of medication, helping patients adhere to their prescribed treatment. The new packaging not only offers a price advantage but also achieves efficient material use through integrated design, making it more economical and environmentally friendly, fully reflecting the brand's commitment to sustainability. Bayer hopes this innovative upgrade will better meet the diverse health management needs of women in the internet era, providing women leading fast-paced lives with a more reassuring and stable health protection solution.

Yaz (Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets II) is a short-acting oral contraceptive that was approved for marketing in China in December 2014. It is the first compound oral contraceptive in China to adopt the "24+4" dosing regimen. This prescription drug helps treat acne by regulating hormone levels, typically requiring at least three months to take effect, with a treatment cycle generally lasting 3-6 months. It should be purchased and used based on a professional doctor’s diagnosis and prescription.

In the fast-paced modern life, women often face dual pressures from work and personal life, making health management easy to overlook. Following medical advice for continuous medication presents a practical challenge. Taking contraception and acne treatment as examples, both require long-term standardized medication under medical guidance. If treatment is interrupted due to untimely purchase of medication, it may significantly affect the efficacy. Currently, the extended prescription service for chronic disease medications, known for being more user-friendly, is gradually being adopted by medical institutions.

Based on this insight, Bayer has integrated the concept of "full-course treatment and long-term management" into its product design. According to the long prescription that can cover three complete medication cycles, Bayer launched the 84-tablet pack of Yasminelle, providing patients with a more convenient option while effectively reducing the daily treatment cost.

Bayer AG Vice President of Prescription Medicine Division and General Manager of Women’s Healthcare Business in China, Yuan Junjie, stated: “Bayer has long been committed to the field of women’s health, consistently focusing on science as the foundation to provide high-quality original products throughout a woman's life cycle—from adolescence, reproductive age to menopause. We deeply understand the real healthcare needs of Chinese women, and the launch of the larger packaging for Yasmin is a positive response to user demands. At the same time, the integrated packaging is more economical and environmentally friendly in terms of material use, further reflecting Bayer’s firm commitment to sustainable development.”
