Recently, the "Black Tech Landmark" launched by BrainCo in Wuxi, Jiangsu – the Wuxi Brain-Computer Science Innovation Demonstration Center located in Chongan Building, Liangxi District, Wuxi – has officially opened to the public. As the first innovation demonstration center established by the company in China with a focus on non-invasive brain-computer interface technology, the center was jointly created by Liangxi District, Liangxi Technology City, and BrainCo. It focuses on the integrated construction of "industry, academia, research, education, and competition," comprehensively showcasing innovative achievements in brain-computer interface from technology development to scenario applications.

The center covers an area of approximately 2,000 square meters and is divided into two floors: the first floor and the fourth floor. The first floor focuses on the display and sale of smart products centered around non-invasive brain-computer interface technology, including a bionic experience zone, a brain-control experience zone, a brain-computer relaxation experience zone, a brain-computer competition experience zone, a brain-computer health education display zone, a brain-computer stress-relief display zone, and a brain-computer frontier display zone. The fourth floor serves as an in-depth research and study experience area, systematically showcasing the multi-dimensional application scenarios of brain-computer technology in fields such as education, health, and rehabilitation. It includes functional modules like university training labs, psychological assessment rooms, competition training areas, science and technology innovation classrooms, intelligent health care rooms, and children's rehabilitation rooms, providing full-chain services from popular science experiences to advanced hands-on training.

In-depth Experience of Five "Brain-Machine+" Scenarios


BrainCo andLiangxi District and Liangxi Technology City focus on directions such as "brain-computer intelligent technology R&D," "medical rehabilitation scenario expansion," and "embodied intelligence human-computer interaction." With the center as the core fulcrum, they are actively building five major "brain-computer+" demonstration application scenarios: "technology-assisted disability support, intelligent health care, smart health education, medical rehabilitation, and industrial manufacturing." Fully leveraging the resource and scenario advantages of Wuxi's central urban area, they continuously explore innovative applications and the transformation of non-invasive brain-computer interface technologies.


"Brain-Computer + Disability Assistance"


In the bionic experience area, BrainCo showcases its generations of intelligent bionic products, clearly outlining the development trajectory of intelligent bionics technology from laboratory to practical application. The intelligent bionic hand reads nerve and muscle electrical signals from the residual limb in real time via electrodes, converting movement intentions into precise actions. Meanwhile, the intelligent bionic leg is equipped with multiple sensors and integrates intelligent algorithms., which can perceive the user's gait and ground changes in real time, automatically adjusting the hydraulic system to achieve a natural and balanced walking experience.


Previously, the center has collaborated with Wuxi Municipal Development and Reform Commission and Wuxi Federation of the Disabled to complete the installation and usage of the first batch of 10 intelligent bionic legs. This achievement breaks through the limitations of traditional disability assistance models by empowering with technology, opening new rehabilitation pathways for special groups. Meanwhile, the center is working with professional prosthetic installation agencies to conduct technical training. Relying on a network of prosthetic service providers covering all 13 cities in the province, it further expands the service coverage and accelerates the implementation of more cooperative projects.

"Brain-Machine + Industry"


The dexterous hand is one of the core components in the intelligent transformation of the industrial field and the development of embodied intelligence. The dexterous hand exhibition booth at the center showcases cutting-edge advancements in independent control of all ten fingers and tactile feedback. The product has already been applied in scenarios such as industrial robots and clothing sorting. Collaborating with local entities like Changguangxi Manufacturing and Jiangnan University, it helps build a brain-computer industry chain ecosystem. It has been utilized in products from Kuawei Intelligence, a company in Liangxi Technology City, and is driving its application in more brands of embodied robots.

"Brain-Machine + Rehabilitation"


Focusing on key children groups such as autism and attention deficit, the center has set up a brain-computer rehabilitation and education exhibition area to comprehensively promote the "Starfruit Brain-Computer Interface Social Communication Training System" and the "Focus欣 Brain-Computer Interface Attention Training System." These systems can continuously improve social communication skills and concentration through neurofeedback technology and specialized training.


At the same time, the center continues to deepen its cooperation with the Liangxi District Disabled Persons' Federation, Wuxi No. 8 Hospital, special education schools, and rehabilitation institutions to provide children with personalized rehabilitation intervention plans. It promotes the implementation of the "BrainCo-Starlink Program" and gradually builds a tripartite rehabilitation service system of "institutional services + product support + policy guarantee."

"Brain-Machine + Science Education"


Using Technology to Illuminate the Dreams of Adolescents: The Center Focuses on the Characteristics of Students at Different Educational Stages, Progressively Promoting the Construction of a Brain-Computer Interface Science Education System for Future Industries, Sowing More Seeds for the Future. In the Brain-Computer Interface Competition Experience Area, adolescents can wear headbands and use their concentration to control race cars in a speed competition. The system generates real-time assessment reports on peak concentration and endurance levels. This area is also linked with the NeuroMaster Artificial Intelligence Competition, which has been included in the Ministry of Education’s whitelist of events for four consecutive years — the World Robot Contest — covering over 200 regional competitions globally, igniting teenagers' passion for exploring brain science and artificial intelligence.

Targeting the group of primary and secondary school students, the center builds brain-computer science classrooms following the principle of "standardized design and personalized configuration," equipping them with advanced teaching devices and experimental equipment, offering brain-computer related courses, enriching science popularization education content, and stimulating scientific interest. Targeting the university student group, it collaborates with the Internet of Things College and the Mechanical Engineering College of Taihu College to jointly build innovation classrooms, promoting the deep integration of brain-computer technology in scientific research training and innovative practice.


The center also organizes educational experts and technical personnel to jointly develop supporting curriculum resources, covering content such as basic theories of brain science and practical applications of brain-computer technology. Through experimental teaching, science popularization lectures, and technology competitions, it fully stimulates students' enthusiasm for scientific exploration and cultivates their ability for technological innovation.

"Brain-Machine + Health Care"


In response to the widespread health issues of sleep anxiety and叠加 work-life stress in contemporary society, the center has creatively set up a Brain-Computer Relaxation Experience Area, equipped with the OxyZen meditation headband and FocusZen stress relief system. These are complemented by customized intelligent health and wellness stress relief courses to help users relax both body and mind. Notably, this relaxation pod uses a smart sleep device as its core platform, integrating functions such as a mental health big data platform and a sleep regulation system, providing customized stress relief space solutions for government, schools, and industrial parks.


The project has been implemented in two major benchmark scenarios: the "Yangqi Space" stress-relief scenario co-created with Xiyue Space, which is deeply tailored to meet the lunch break relaxation needs of working professionals; and the AI-powered smart sleep-themed rooms launched in collaboration with Ascott serviced apartments, integrating professional-grade sleep management into business travel accommodation experiences. In the future, the center will accelerate the application and iterative development of brain-computer interface technology in vertical fields such as elderly care, workplace health management, and adolescent sleep assistance, enabling more people to enjoy a technologically-enhanced healthy sleep lifestyle.

Unlocking a Broader Future for Brain-Computer Interfaces


Wuxi, the birthplace of national industry and commerce and the starting point of the "Southern Jiangsu Model" for township enterprises, as a renowned industrial and commercial city, has always closely integrated technological innovation with industrial innovation in the new era. It focuses on four landmark industries, six advantageous industries, and the "5+X" future industries to strengthen core industrial chains and enhance the integration, competitiveness, and influence of its industries.


Especially in future industries, last year, Wuxi released the "Implementation Opinions of the Municipal Government on Accelerating the Cultivation and Development of Future Industries," establishing a "5+X" framework. According to the plan, six major development programs—"Strengthening Foundation," "Pioneering," "Forest Formation," "Goose Array," "Shoulder-to-Shoulder," and "Optimization"—are being implemented to promote innovation and development in future industries. Among them, the "Pioneering Program" focuses on strengthening the design of application scenarios for future industries, exploring a full-cycle scenario model of "future scenarios + pilot demonstrations + promotion and application." This approach is highly consistent with BrainCo's development of brain-computer interface technology and the promotion of its brain-computer interface products.


As the cooperation partner and "operator" of the center — Liangxi Science and Technology City, it serves as the "window for the world to see Wuxi," an area that Wuxi city has been focusing on developing. Covering a total area of 40 square kilometers with a core area of 7 square kilometers, Liangxi Science and Technology City is committed to the development of strategic emerging industries and future-oriented industries. It focuses primarily on seven industrial ecosystems: artificial intelligence, intelligent sensors, robotics, and low-altitude economy. The city has attracted several leading industrial projects such as Nuwa Tech, Extreme Vision, Quicktron, and Standard Robots. It has also established deep collaborations with top-tier companies in the industry like StepStellar, Zhiyuan Robotics, and NoAsk CoreTop. With new projects being introduced each year, the scale of the Science and Technology City continues to grow.


This year, the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" proposal explicitly emphasized the need to "promote quantum technology, biomanufacturing, hydrogen energy and nuclear fusion energy, brain-computer interfaces, embodied intelligence, and sixth-generation mobile communications as new economic growth points." The choice to establish the Wuxi Brain-Computer Science Innovation Demonstration Center in the central urban area through cooperation with Liangxi Science and Technology City in Wuxi is driven by Wuxi’s strong foundation in the Internet of Things (IoT) industry. Liangxi Science and Technology City’s layout in artificial intelligence, robotics, and smart sensor sectors provides critical support for the development of brain-computer interface technologies, such as signal analysis, data processing, execution carriers, and system integration. Cross-empowerment between industries, with "brain-computer" as the link, will help further promote the continuous iteration and upgrading of BrainCo's brain-computer interface products, fostering a "convergence hub" for the brain-computer interface industry.
