On November 6, the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) booth at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) officially opened. At this year's CIIE, GSK showcased several innovative pipeline products under the theme "Together Beyond, Creating a Healthier Future."

Including: global approval and market launch, phase 3 clinical trials conducted in ChinaRespiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Vaccine，Antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) drugs that have the potential to achieve a "functional cure" for chronic hepatitis B, depemokimab, which allows for long-acting dosing once every six months, and belantamab mafodotin, an anti-BCMA antibody-drug conjugate for multiple myeloma., covering multiple therapeutic areas such as respiratory, immunology and inflammation, infectious diseases, and oncology.

In the field of full-cycle management of liver diseases, GSK is committed to providing effective innovative prevention and treatment solutions, from the hepatitis B vaccine Engerix-B (Recombinant Hepatitis B Vaccine (Saccharomyces Cerevisiae)) for prevention launched in 1994, to the hepatitis B nucleotide drug Viread (Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate Tablets) for treatment, and further to exploring antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) drugs that may achieve "functional cure" for chronic hepatitis B. All these were showcased at this year’s CIIE.

In the field of integrated HIV prevention and treatment, continuously providing comprehensive solutions from prevention to treatment for people at risk of HIV and those infected, building a complete closed-loop for HIV prevention and treatment. This includes the long-acting HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) option, cabotegravir injection, as well as the long-acting treatment regimen combining cabotegravir injection and rilpivirine injection, which is also the complete HIV-1 long-acting (up to every two months) injectable treatment regimen approved by the NMPA.

In the field of comprehensive prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases, GSK's product pipeline covers a full range of products from prevention to treatment, including inhaled formulations, biologics, long-acting formulations, and vaccines.

For many years, GSK has also actively collaborated to explore innovative models in healthcare. For instance, it partnered with Zhifei Biological Products to enhance the accessibility of the recombinant shingles vaccine Shingrix; it also reached a collaboration with Hengrui Medicine to jointly develop up to 12 innovative drugs covering respiratory, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, and oncology treatment areas.

According to a GSK press release, over 80% of the company's R&D projects in China have been integrated into global synchronized development.GSK expects approximately 18 new products and indications to be approved for launch in China over the next three years, bringing several innovative medicines and vaccines to patients.。
