("Vickor") and Huazhong University of Science and Technology has undergone a rigorous review process.Approved for the 2025 National Key Research and Development Program "Diagnostic and Therapeutic Equipment and Biomedical Materials" Key Special Project. This approved project precisely targets the key pain points that urgently need to be addressed in clinical practice: meeting the treatment needs for severe mitral regurgitation, stenosis, or both, and overcoming core industry challenges such as "difficulty in anchoring" and "high risk of severe complications" during vascular interventional mitral valve replacement.Committed to the development of safe, efficient, and highly adaptable domestically-produced transcatheter mitral valve implantation devices, bringing new hope to patients with cardiovascular diseases.

This ProjectLed by Huazhong University of Science and Technology,Jointly promoted by Vickor, Yunnan Fuwai Cardiovascular Hospital, Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Fuwai Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences,which has gathered top talents in the fields of medical R&D, clinical diagnosis and treatment, and material innovation, to build a full-chain collaborative system of "technology R&D - material support - clinical verification - industrialization implementation".
The project focuses on the frontier direction of transcatheter mitral valve replacement,Achieve Full-Chain Breakthroughs Through Four Major Projects: Starting with the 3D printing clinical system of Fuwai Hospital Yunnan Province to clarify needs and verification pathways; based on the material research from the Metal Research Institute to ensure long-term device safety; centered on Vickor's product development to achieve the leap from technology to product; and ultimately backed by the systematic evaluation of Fuwai Hospital Beijing to safeguard clinical translation. The four key projects are interlinked, forming an efficient closed loop.
03 Vickor Medical Takes on the Challenge, Empowering China-Made Devices with Independent Control
Facing the clinical bottleneck of "difficult anchoring and high complications" in mitral valve interventional treatment, Vickor has taken on the heavy responsibility of product research and development and industrialization in the project.
