Recently, Xbiome Co. Ltd., a leading biotechnology company in Shenzhen, and Fonterra Ingredients Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Fonterra"), a globally renowned dairy and probiotics enterprise, held a cooperation signing ceremony at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, announcing the official establishment of a strategic partnership in the probiotics field.The cooperation covers the development of strain functions, formulation and product development, brand co-branding, etc.Dr. Tan Yan, Co-founder and CEO of Xbiome, and Ms. Buffy Gard, Vice President of Nutiani™ and Global Probiotics Lead at Fonterra, attended the ceremony and signed the cooperation agreement.
According to the Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation between the two parties, this collaboration will be based on nutiani™ Nutiani's Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001® and Bifidobacterium lactis HN019®, jointly advancing product development and probiotic projects. Both parties will initiate a co-branded partnership at the market level, jointly utilizing the nutiani™ Nutiani brand for co-branding and joint promotion of related cooperative products. Subsequently, both parties will also explore cooperation opportunities in strain innovation and research, with collaboration directions including the development of functions for probiotics with different efficacies, as well as the development of new applications for probiotics or mixed formulations.
