China Securities News (Wang Luo) November 24th,MedlanderThrough the进门财经APP, an online investor communication event was held, attracting the participation of 62 investment institutions, including Golden Bull Investment, Huajin Securities, and Hunan Pharmaceutical Development Private Equity. During the event, the company's management provided a detailed introduction of the business layout, core technological advantages, and market advancement in the brain-computer interface field.
As a company deeply engaged in the field of medical technology, Medlander focuses on the research and development and productization of non-invasive brain-computer interface technology, deeply integrating it with the company's existing technologies and clinical scenarios.
Breakthroughs in Three Major Clinical Directions: Building a Multi-Scenario Technology System
In the field of cognitive dysfunction intervention, the company's core technologies under development encompass multimodal emotion recognition, emotion interaction systems, and cognitive assessment and digital therapeutics based on emotion interaction. This has led to the creation of a closed-loop system comprising four key modules: emotion recognition, emotion interaction, cognitive assessment, and cognitive intervention. The technology enables earlier identification of mild cognitive impairment and has now entered the multi-center clinical validation stage, with the potential to significantly enhance the timeliness and efficacy of clinical interventions.
In the field of motor dysfunction rehabilitation, the company innovatively combines soft exoskeleton hand function with EEG devices to develop a brain-computer hand training system. This system can decode motor imagery signals and trigger exoskeleton movements while integrating with a neuromodulation platform to build a precise perception and intervention closed-loop. The preliminary results show advantages over traditional single central or peripheral interventions.
In the field of mental and psychosomatic disease regulation, Medlander, in collaboration with Zhejiang University and Rongnao Technology, has developed a multi-modal brain physiological signal monitoring platform under the Jiangsu Province Frontier Technology Research and Development Special Program. This platform integrates near-infrared and EEG dual-modal fusion, combined with transcranial magnetic stimulation, enabling three-dimensional monitoring of brain states. To address industry challenges, the company is developing a module for simultaneous EEG and near-infrared signal acquisition during stimulation. Future products will evolve from cart-based systems for medical institutions to portable devices.
Technological Advantages and Ecosystem Layout Accelerate Commercialization
In response to the industry hot topics of interest to investors, the management of Medlander addressed each one. Regarding the reasons why multi-modal technology has become the mainstream in non-invasive brain-computer interfaces, the company pointed out that single EEG signals have the limitation of low spatial resolution. Multi-modal technology, by integrating various signals, can provide a more comprehensive and three-dimensional reflection of brain states, improving the precision of intervention plans. In terms of medical device certification, the company is currently focusing on Class II certification applications and will advance to Class III certification submissions based on clinical needs. The process will be accelerated through platforms such as the Jiangsu Brain-Computer Interface Research Institute to expedite clinical validation.
The company stated that compared with other enterprises in the same industry, Medlander's core advantages are concentrated in three major aspects: First, the multi-modal brain-computer interface technology, which can integrate multi-dimensional data to achieve precise screening and personalized treatment; Second, the central-peripheral closed-loop technology—as one of the earliest companies in China to carry out multi-center clinical trials on central-peripheral closed-loop technology, it is expected to be the first to accumulate complete clinical data; Third, achieving key breakthroughs in the field that combines cognitive impairment with emotional interaction.
In terms of building a cooperative ecosystem, Medlander has established a tripartite research and development cooperation system involving universities, hospitals, and enterprises. The company conducts industry-university-research collaboration with top universities such as Zhejiang University and Southeast University, leveraging their cutting-edge scientific research achievements. It closely collaborates with top clinical institutions like Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital to ensure that the R&D aligns with clinical needs. Meanwhile, it partners with high-quality enterprises in the field to achieve technical complementarity and resource sharing, accelerating product implementation.
In terms of market promotion, Medlander has reached preliminary cooperation intentions with multiple hospitals in Jiangsu Province and parts of Southwest China based on existing channels. Some equipment has already been applied in leading hospitals. After the relevant products obtain registration certificates, they will be officially and fully implemented in the cooperative hospitals, with business progress being orderly and efficient.
Regarding the competitive landscape in the brain-computer interface field, Medlander stated that the current market is dominated by non-invasive companies, with the speed of obtaining registration certificates and market promotion capabilities being the key competitive factors. In the future, leading brands with first-mover advantages and strong promotional capabilities are expected to capture market share first. The company will also continue to focus on core technology research and development and clinical transformation to consolidate its competitiveness in the industry.
