Recently, the team led by Liu Changrong, Director of the Cardiovascular Department at Zhangzhou People's HospitalUseRaysightMedThe AngioQFA system successfully completed precise coronary functional assessment for a patient with chest pain, identifying potential ischemic lesions in the absence of significant stenosis on routine coronary angiography, providing critical evidence for clinical treatment.
The patient was admitted due to"Chest Pain, Chest Tightness" Visit, Liu ChangrongDirectorCoronary angiography was performed on the patient, showing a dominant right coronary artery with large and smooth lumen, and small circumflex artery. No significant stenosis was observed. Multi-angle observation of the left anterior descending artery also did not reveal any definitive stenosis. However, during the contrast agent injection, the patient reported aggravated chest pain symptoms, which raised high alertness from Director Liu Changrong.

Relying on extensive clinical experience, Director Liu Changrong did not easily rule out the possibility of anterior descending branch lesions. He further adjusted the angiography angle in the left anterior oblique view.In the projection position of 45°+ head position 20°, an eccentric lesion was found in the distal segment of the anterior descending branch, revealing the underlying potential cause of the symptoms.
To clarify whether the lesion caused myocardial ischemia, Director Liu Changrong used RaysightMed.AngioQFA for intraoperative functional assessment.RaysightMedAngioQFAFastThe FFR value at this location was quickly calculated to be 0.70 (<0.75 clinical ischemia threshold), indicating a risk of functional ischemia.Based on this objective evidence, Director Liu Changrong decided to perform drug-coated balloon angioplasty on the distal lesion of the patient's left anterior descending artery.

Postoperatively, the patient was re-examined with RaysightMed.AngioQFA showed that the FFR value had recovered to 0.92, with significant improvement in vascular function, and the surgery was successfully completed.

In the diagnosis and treatment of this case, the team led by Liu Changrong, director of the Cardiology Department of Zhangzhou People's Hospital, demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and a rigorous diagnostic attitude, not overlooking any subtle clinical clues; RaysightMedThe AngioQFA system, with its comprehensive and preciseCoronary FunctionFFR/IMR assessment capability provides scientific evidence for handling complex lesions and developing individualized treatment plans.
In the future, RaysightMed will continue to collaborate with clinical experts, utilizing intelligent and precise diagnostic tools to jointly promote the advancement of cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment, bringing benefits to more patients.
