On December 1, 2025, the Department of Cardiology at Langxi County People's Hospital, led by Director Chu Hongbin and in collaboration with the anesthesia department and medical staff, successfully applied ShineyoMedical's RhythPulse under the guidance of Director Wang Yuanlong from the Department of Cardiology at Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital.®Pulsed Field Ablation System was used to perform Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) on a patient with atrial fibrillation. This procedure marks one of the first cases in China utilizing ShineyoMedical's RhythPulse.®The clinical application of pulsed ablation marks a new breakthrough in the interventional diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and comprehensive management of atrial fibrillation at the Cardiology Department of Langxi County People's Hospital, offering patients suffering from atrial fibrillation a safer and more efficient new treatment option.
Patient Information
The patient is a 76-year-old female admitted with the chief complaint of "dizziness for one month." Admission diagnoses: 1. Dizziness pending investigation 2. Arrhythmia (1) Junctional escape rhythm Junctional escape capture (2) Atrial premature beats 3. Old cerebral infarction 4. Hypertension 5. Cervical spondylosis. After thorough communication with the family, Director Hongbin Chu from the Cardiovascular Medicine Department decided to use ShineyoMedical RhythPulse.®-PFA Pulse Electric Field Ablation for patient treatment.

Patient CT and Ultrasound Reports

Preoperative ECG of the Patient
Surgical Procedure
The surgery was performed under general anesthesia. After routine vascular puncture, the atrial septal puncture sheath was advanced via the inferior vena cava to the right atrium, and the atrial septum was successfully punctured to establish access to the left atrium. ShineyoMedical's RhythPulse was used.®The 15mm catheter was used for left atrial modeling and substrate mapping with the support of a three-dimensional system.

Preoperative Substrate Mapping
After the modeling is completed, RhythPulse®The PFA catheter was delivered to the right upper pulmonary vein, and the voltage map indicated good substrate of the left atrium. Subsequently, bilateral pulmonary vein isolation was initiated from the right upper pulmonary vein. A total of 23 applications were delivered to the right pulmonary veins, and 27 applications to the left pulmonary veins. After completing the pulsed field ablation, pacing validation confirmed bidirectional block of pulmonary vein potentials. Post-procedure voltage maps demonstrated successful isolation of both pulmonary veins. The overall ablation procedure took approximately 40 minutes.

Bilateral Pulmonary Vein Isolation Procedure

Postoperative Substrate Mapping
In this surgery, the cardiology team at Langxi County People's Hospital successfully performed pulse ablation on the patient, thanks to their extensive experience and advanced skills. The operation proceeded smoothly, with the patient showing good recovery post-surgery and stable vital signs. This successful case not only demonstratesLangxi County People's HospitalThe technical strength in the field of arrhythmia treatment has also brought hope of a cure to more patients with atrial fibrillation.
Intraoperative Highlights

Surgical Highlights
1. Shorten the operation time:The average duration of the surgery is shorter than traditional radiofrequency ablation, reducing the physical burden on patients;
2. Multiple Models, Multiple Choices:Ablation catheters with different diameters offer more options during the procedure;
3. Three-dimensional precise positioning:Achieve precise targeted ablation through 3D, improving success rates.

【ShineyoMedical RhythPulse®-PFA System】
ShineyoMedical's RhythPulse®-PFA System is the first approved Pulse Field Ablation (PFA) system in China that integrates multi-channel, large focal, and targeted ablation, primarily used for treating drug-refractory and recurrent atrial fibrillation and other types of rapid arrhythmias. Its core advantages include:
Large Focal Design:Using the world's first 10mm ring ablation catheter, a single discharge can cover a lesion area with a diameter of 10mm, increasing the ablation efficiency by more than three times compared to traditional technology.
Targeted Ablation Technology:Equipped with an intelligent contact detection module, it monitors the contact status between the electrode and myocardial tissue in real time, reducing the risk of hemolysis caused by ineffective discharges, and decreasing postoperative plasma free hemoglobin content by 50%.
Clinical Validation Excellent:In a clinical trial involving 151 cases, the immediate success rate was 100%, and the success rate for atrial fibrillation treatment at 12 months post-operation reached 85.07%, meeting internationally leading standards.
