On December 2, 2025, Medtronic announced the appointment of Jeb Denny.PhD for the Acute Care and Monitoring (ACM) business under its umbrellaChief Medical Officer。
This business unit produces pulse oximeters, patient monitors, and airway management tools. In Medtronic's fiscal year 2025 (ending this April), the business unit achieved sales of $1.9 billion.

Original Title: Vice President of Urology and Critical Care Medical Affairs at BD Company
Before joining Medtronic, Dr. Denny served as the head of medical affairs at BD, overseeing various technology and business areas including urology, critical care, smart connected healthcare, and vascular access devices. Prior to BD, Dr. Denny was the Chief Medical Officer of the American Medical Review Association (MRIoA), a leading organization in the field of healthcare resource utilization management.

Medtronic initially planned to spin off its patient monitoring and respiratory intervention business. However, last year the company decided to exit the ventilator market and merge the remaining patient monitoring and respiratory business into one division. After Medtronic canceled the spin-off plan, Sam Agishian, the former chief medical officer responsible for acute care and monitoring, left the company.
Thereafter, MedtronicMedtronic has been filling key vacancies for the merged company. In June this year, the company appointedKate BenedictFor Emergency Care and Monitoring President.
Benedict praised Denny in a statement for "always prioritizing the needs of patients" and said his expertise would be key to accelerating Medtronic's innovation and development.
Denny holds dual specialist certifications in nephrology and internal medicine. While working at Medtronic, he will continue practicing medicine. He will dedicate part of his time to working at the Physician Care Clinic in Decatur, Georgia.
