On December 3, Junevity, a biotechnology company focused on extending lifespan and healthspan through cellular reprogramming, announced that it has received$10 millionThe new round of financing has brought its seed fundingTotal amount reaches 20 million US dollars. This round of financing, led by Goldcrest Capital and Godfrey Capital, will drive Junevity's flagshipsiRNA Project JUN_01Research in the field of type 2 diabetes and obesity enters the pre-clinical trial stage and early clinical studies.
John Bamforth, Ph.D., former Chief Marketing Officer of Eli Lilly and Company and advisor to Junevity, stated,JUN_01 offers a unique and promising effect on insulin sensitivity and weight loss, administered once every six months. This regimen can meet the significant need for effective and tolerable long-term diabetes and weight management, either used alone or in combination with GLP-1.As preclinical studies have shown, JUN_01 from Junevity Inc. is the first known candidate drug capable of reprogramming metabolism to a healthier and younger state. Its effects include lowering blood glucose, improving insulin sensitivity, reducing body weight while maintaining lean body mass, and achieving low dosing frequency with high safety due to siRNA technology. JUN_01 targets a novel undisclosed target discovered through the Junevity RESET platform, human disease data, and genetic association analysis, which is considered a key regulator of chronic metabolic dysfunction, insulin signaling, and appetite. Preclinical models indicate that the drug has best-in-class efficacy potential, minimal side effects, requires dosing only once every six months, and shows resistance to weight regain after treatment ends. JUN_01 holds promise as a monotherapy or in combination with GLP-1-based drugs, potentially even reducing the dosage or dosing frequency of GLP-1-based therapies. The first-in-human trial is expected to commence in the second half of 2026.Junevity RESET Platform Based on Exclusive Licensed Research of Co-founder Dr. Jennie Sangerstad at UCSF. RESET Leverages Omics, Gene Association, Machine Learning/AI, and Small Interfering RNA (siRNA) Technologies to Uncover Novel Cellular Reprogramming Targets for Therapeutic Development. This Technology Enables the Targeting of Previously "Undruggable" Transcription Factors (i.e., Master Regulator Genes). Dr. Sangerstad’s Groundbreaking Research Led to the Founding of Junevity Inc., Aiming to Bring siRNA Reprogramming Therapies to Patients.

Junevity RESET Platform Based on Exclusive Licensed Research by Co-Founder Dr. Janine Sengstack at the University of California, San Francisco. RESET harnesses omics, gene association, machine learning/artificial intelligence, and siRNA technology to uncover novel cellular reprogramming targets for therapeutic development. This technology renders previously "undruggable" transcription factors (i.e., master regulatory genes) targetable. Dr. Sengstack's groundbreaking research led to the founding of Junevity, with the aim of bringing siRNA reprogramming therapies to patients.References:
