SANEGENEBIO, founded in 2021, is a globally integrated clinical-stage biotechnology company dedicated to developing innovative RNAi therapies with "First-in-Class" and "Best-in-Class" potential to address significant unmet clinical needs in obesity, cardiometabolic diseases, autoimmune disorders, and immune-mediated conditions. The company was established by a pioneering team with deep R&D experience in the RNAi field and has research centers in Suzhou and Shanghai, China, as well as Boston, USA, receiving ongoing support from several renowned domestic and international investment institutions.
Leveraging its proprietary GalNAc liver-targeted delivery platform and the industry-leading LEAD™ (Ligand and Enhancer Assisted Delivery) extrahepatic delivery platform, SANEGENEBIO can efficiently, safely, and durably deliver siRNA precisely to the liver as well as extrahepatic tissues such as fat, muscle, immune cells, and the central nervous system. This significantly reduces dosing frequency, enhancing treatment adherence and efficacy. Currently, the company has established a diversified product pipeline covering multiple major disease areas, including four clinical-stage drug candidates (one in Phase II and three in Phase I) and several preclinical projects. Following the successful completion of its Series B financing, SANEGENEBIO will further accelerate the global clinical development and registration process for its R&D pipeline, promoting RNAi therapies as standard treatments across more disease areas and bringing transformative next-generation therapeutic options to patients worldwide.
