Oxford Nanopore Technologies announced the appointment of Francis Van Parys as the new CEO.Francis will join the company's board of directors on March 2, 2026, as an executive director.

Francis has over 20 years of experience leading multi-billion-dollar life science enterprises, with an exceptional track record in scaling innovation-driven organizations through outstanding commercial and operational capabilities. He currently serves as the President and CEO of Radiometer, a global leader in acute care diagnostics and part of the Danaher Group (Danaher). Previously, Francis held senior leadership roles at Cytiva and GE Healthcare, driving sustained growth across Europe, Asia, and North America while building high-performing teams.
Francis Van Paris will succeed Gordon Sanghera, who has served as CEO since the founding of Oxford Nanopore in 2005. Gordon will step down from his board duties at the close of business on March 2, 2026, and will continue to serve as an advisor to the company until early 2027 to ensure a smooth transition.
