The Brain-Computer Interface Standardization Technical Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Brain-Computer Interface Sub-Technical Committee of the China Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee are two important standardization organizations in China's brain-computer interface field. The joint annual meeting of the two committees marks a new phase of collaborative advancement and overall planning for China's brain-computer interface standardization work.

This meeting focused on discussing the construction path of the brain-computer interface technology standards system, covering various aspects such as basic terminology, interface specifications, data formats, security requirements, and performance testing. The attending committee members conducted in-depth discussions on how to accelerate standard formulation in key areas, promote international standards alignment, and advance the implementation and application of standards. All committee members carefully reviewed and approved the committee's 2025 work summary and 2026 work plan.

As the "15th Five-Year Plan" lists brain-computer interface as one of the future industries for forward-looking layout, the importance of related standardization work has become even more prominent. A sound technical standard system will help create a fair competitive market environment, promote the optimal allocation of innovative resources, and accelerate the transformation and application of technological achievements.
