This case was performed at Healthway QualiMed Sta. Rosa Hospital by Dr. Bernard Benjamin Albano.
The patient is a 70-year-old male. Preoperative coronary angiography showed multiple plaque infiltrations from the left main trunk to the proximal segment of the anterior descending branch, accompanied by significant calcification, with the most severe stenosis being approximately 80%. The lesion was complex and had a high degree of calcification.
The operator first used TomaHawk®/Tomahawk®Target Lesion Release70 Pulses, imaging showed obvious rupture of calcified plaque, with significant improvement in lesion compliance. Subsequently, the implantation was successfully performed.Firehawk®/Firehawk®Drug-Eluting StentThe final angiography results showed that the stent was fully expanded, blood flow was restored to normal (TIMI 3), and the residual stenosis at the calcified lesion was significantly improved.

The first case was successfully carried out at Queen Elizabeth Hospital by Dr. Esmond Fong Yan-Hang and Dr. Jake Yeung Yin-Kei.
The patient has severe calcified lesions in the proximal segment of the left anterior descending artery (LAD). Preoperative optical coherence tomography (OCT) evaluation revealed concentric calcification, with a range exceeding 300° and an extremely heavy calcification burden.
Faced with this complex lesion, the surgical team selected TomaHawk.®/Tomahawk®Coronary Shock Wave System Completed60 PulsesLaunch. Postoperative OCT showed a broken calcification ring, with sufficient vascular pre-dilation, allowing for the subsequent stent implantation to be completed smoothly. The operator fully affirmed TomaHawk.®/Tomahawk®Coronary Shock Wave SystemImprovement in Surgical Efficiency。
With the continuous development of coronary intervention treatment towards complex lesions,Preprocessing of Calcified LesionsHas becomeKey factors affecting the success rate of surgery and long-term prognosisOne of them. Relying on the established fields of mature products such as drug-eluting stents,Global Leading Position, MicroPort®MicroPort is continuously launching innovative products globally, building systematic solutions that cover high-resistance lesions such as calcification.

Coronary Intravascular Shockwave Catheter System
First of Its Kind in ChinaReal-time pressure monitoring function, which avoids releasing pulses when the balloon bursts or is not fully inflated, enhancing the reliability of device use and ensuring effective energy transfer;
Exclusive PatentThe "Tomahawk Electrode" emitter design not only generates shock waves equivalent to 50atm effects, but also achieves an outer diameter as small as 0.031".
