Industry Leaders Gather

Discussing an Innovative Future

The salon brought together numerous industry experts and entrepreneurs to engage in in-depth discussions on topics such as the underlying logic of new drug development, the construction of industrial ecosystems, and future development trends.

InxMedDr. Wang Zaiqi, CEO, made an important point: Tumors are a complex ecosystem, and the key to treatment is not simply killing tumor cells but disrupting the microenvironment they rely on for survival. He emphasized the importance of integrated innovation and ecological cooperation, believing that China has globally leading core competitiveness in chemical synthesis, antibody research and development, and production platforms.

Vijing BoaoDr. Chen Su, CEOBreakthrough Progress Introduced for VG712, a Globally Innovative Drug Under Development. This drug can specifically and rapidly eliminate existing exhausted and diseased T-cell populations in the human body, rebooting normal immune function and thereby restoring spontaneous anti-tumor capabilities in cancer patients. In completed human trials, this innovative mechanism has achieved clinical cure effects in some advanced cancer patients, demonstrating remarkable efficacy and earning Fast Track designation from the U.S. FDA.

In addition to tumors, the immune reboot mechanism brought by VG712 is also expected to provide breakthrough therapies in various difficult-to-treat major diseases such as organ transplant rejection, autoimmune diseases, and AIDS. The drug is currently undergoing the final phase of clinical research before market approval and has established in-depth collaborations with multiple top research institutions in China and the United States to accelerate its market entry.

RactigenDr. Li Longcheng, CEO, shared innovative strategies for unlocking "undruggable" targets using saRNA technology. He pointed out that saRNA technology activates gene transcription and protein production by targeting the gene promoter region, restoring the normal function of the gene. This technology has a wide range of applications and can be used in multiple fields such as genetic diseases, tumors, cardiovascular diseases, and metabolic diseases, opening a new door for "undruggable" targets.

Shanghai Jianshibai BiotechCEO Dr. Lin Jun shared insights on "Thoughts on the Efficient Development of Innovative Complex Molecules." He pointed out that despite the rapid progress in new drug development and the increasing diversity of therapies — from peptides, bispecific antibodies to ADCs, cell and nucleic acid drugs — current treatments still face clinical challenges such as drug resistance. To address the status quo of innovative drug molecule development, which is becoming "more innovative, more complex, and more challenging,"He proposed three key elements: imagination based on scientific risk-taking, execution power to quickly advance toward the goal, and the construction of an industrial ecosystem for "collaboratively developing good medicines."Lin Jun also introduced that Shanghai Jianshibai Biotech provides one-stop early-stage R&D support ranging from molecular design to drug-likeness evaluation, primarily relying on eight core technology platforms. These include the AI prediction and computational biology platform (GSAI™), antibody discovery and engineering platform (GSPS™), innovative linker payload and conjugation platform (GSLP™), drug-likeness evaluation platform (GSDA™), and other comprehensive technical systems. Finally, he emphasized that the company aims to collaborate with industry partners through an integrated platform to efficiently advance the development of differentiated innovative drugs, fulfilling the corporate mission of "Empowering Better Medicine, United for Humanity."
