Clearer Medical Policies Boost Industry Development

Since late 2017, the government has issued multiple opinions and administrative measures concerning the healthcare industry. In April this year, the General Office of the State Council released the “Opinions on Promoting the Development of ‘Internet + Healthcare’” (hereinafter referred to as the “Opinions”), which explicitly permits the development of internet hospitals based on medical institutions, supports exploration of information sharing between medical institution prescriptions and pharmaceutical retail data, and explores the liberalization of out-of-hospital prescriptions and third-party delivery services, thereby integrating the entire process of online consultation, prescription issuance, and home delivery of medications.

Once the draft of the “Opinions” was released, numerous internet hospitals and internet healthcare companies such as DXY and Miaoshou Doctor, which obtained qualifications for internet hospitals in Yinchuan in 2017, became the focus of public attention. Notably, Miaoshou Doctor, which completed nearly RMB 500 million in Series C financing in 2018 and established a strategic layout of more than 100 directly operated hospital-adjacent pharmacies and DTP (Direct-to-Patient) pharmacies across 39 cities nationwide, announced that it had entered into a strategic partnership with Hangzhou Yinjiang Smart Healthcare Group Co., Ltd. to provide internet hospital construction services for third-party medical institutions.

Miaoshou Partners with Yinjiang Medical to Jointly Advance the Healthcare Brain

As a leading player in China’s smart healthcare industry, Yinjiang Co., Ltd., through its wholly-owned subsidiary group Yinjiang Medical, has provided integrated solutions encompassing platform development, data operations, and health industry services to more than 1,000 third-party medical institutions across China. Building on this foundation, Yinjiang Medical is committed to creating an Urban Healthcare Brain, leveraging interconnected technologies to break down information silos and jointly establish regional comprehensive health platforms. It has gradually emerged as one of the leading enterprises in China’s smart healthcare sector, developing scientifically sound and effective smart healthcare solutions and service models that have earned recognition from users.

Miaoshou Doctor and Yinjiang Medical are collaborating on the development of internet platform systems for third-party medical institutions, as well as on prescription circulation. This partnership aims to enhance services in areas such as mobile-enabled appointment scheduling, registration, and payment; online initial and follow-up consultations; separation of prescribing from dispensing; e-commerce integration for medication purchase and adherence; and traceability of medical record data.

He Tao, CEO of Miaoshou Doctor, and Qin Lang, Chairman of Yinjiang Medical, both expressed strong recognition of their partner’s capabilities in their respective professional fields. They noted that the internet hospital is merely one component of Yinjiang’s city-level healthcare brain. They believe that continued collaboration between the two parties will facilitate stable and rapid development in the construction of internet hospitals for third-party medical institutions.
