Health Youyi Launches EGO 2.0 System, Upgrading to an AI-Powered Healthcare Intelligence Platform

In the “Opinions on Promoting the Development of ‘Internet + Healthcare’” released by the State Council in April this year, it was explicitly proposed to develop clinical diagnosis and treatment decision support systems based on artificial intelligence (AI), and to carry out intelligent medical image recognition, pathological classification, multidisciplinary consultations, and the application of intelligent voice technology in various healthcare scenarios. The healthcare sector is once again experiencing a surge in AI adoption, and the view that “AI will be the first to achieve practical implementation in the healthcare field” has become an industry consensus. An increasing number of companies are beginning to deepen and broaden their AI deployments in this sector.

Health Hope (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Health Hope”) held the “Technology Leading the Future of Health—2018 Health Hope Product Launch Event” on July 24, which was attended by numerous industry leaders, partners, representatives from well-known enterprises, and mainstream media.

It is reported that the press conference unveiled Health Hope’s latest achievement, the ego2.0 system, along with its open Health AI platform for medical technology, the Health RT robotic technology platform, the open Health MR mixed-reality platform, and a highly anticipated cutting-edge product, the Laughing smart health water bottle.

Li Yuxin, founder of Health Hope, stated at the conference that Health Hope will in the future focus on scenarios such as households, enterprises, communities, and hospitals to gradually capture AI entry points in the healthcare sector, build digital platforms, make artificial intelligence ubiquitous, and deliver transparent, immersive experiences.

As a renowned post-1980s entrepreneur and serial startup founder, Li Yuxin has established multiple well-known enterprises in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), management consulting, and financial investment sectors. In 2014, she founded Health Hope, initiating its industrial layout in the field of “Artificial Intelligence + Healthcare.”

As the first enterprise to apply AI to health management, Health Hope has become a technological leader in China’s healthcare sector after four years of development. Under the leadership of Li Yuxin, the team has successfully built multiple industry-leading health technology service platforms by effectively integrating AI with human biological data. On the day of the conference, Health Hope’s ego 2.0 system emerged as the highlight of the launch event. While the ego 1.0 system focused on health management, the 2.0 system delves deeply into the medical field, covering three major stages: pre-disease consultation, intra-disease treatment, and post-disease rehabilitation. This creates a complete closed-loop disease management process encompassing “triage, consultation, testing, diagnosis, treatment, implementation, and follow-up.”

The Ego2.0 system has made significant advancements in patient triage, consultation, and assisted diagnosis. It enables intelligent triage based on human-computer interaction, voice-based medical record generation, and assisted diagnosis services. Additionally, it provides medication guidance and MR-assisted surgical planning.

The Ego 2.0 system has not only conducted in-depth research and enhancements in health management and disease management, but has also achieved rapid advancements in core AI technologies. For instance, in the field of computer vision, it has realized multi-object detection and recognition; in 3D reconstruction, it has achieved precise 3D reconstruction of the human body and face using both standard and depth cameras, with an error margin of less than 2 millimeters.

Furthermore, the construction of the health and medical knowledge base for the Ego 2.0 system has achieved breakthrough progress. The food database has expanded to 1 million entries, while the exercise database now includes 2,400 items, covering all forms of physical activity and rehabilitation exercises. Meanwhile, the number of health knowledge entities has reached 1 million. The disease knowledge graph has taken shape, with over 500,000 entities, capable of supporting the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine.

The Ego 2.0 system has evolved from a large-scale platform into a “smart brain” for the healthcare sector, with Health Hope striving to build it into the world’s most intelligent healthcare brain.

Driven by progressive policy initiatives, the healthcare sector is undoubtedly poised for another major upheaval. At the event, Zhou Bin, Chief Technology Officer of Health Hope, unveiled the Health AI open platform for health and medical artificial intelligence technologies.

This AI technology open platform, powered by the Ego 2.0 system and its robust deep learning supercomputing infrastructure, empowers smart terminals, healthcare information systems, apps, and mini-programs through SDKs, APIs, and H5 interfaces. Currently, Health AI covers AI applications in both the health and medical sectors, providing one-stop comprehensive solutions and services to meet the healthcare needs of various industries.

Also announced at the conference were the Health MR, an open mixed reality platform for healthcare, and the Health RT, a robotics technology platform for healthcare. Unveiled by Zhou Xiaodong, Chief MR Scientist at Health Hope, Health MR leverages AR, VR, and MR technologies to provide technical solutions and product services such as medical assisted teaching, surgical assistance, visualization of medical data, and visualization of pharmacological responses, significantly enhancing the quality and efficacy of healthcare diagnosis and treatment.

The Health RT platform unleashes unlimited possibilities for users by outputting specialized medical capabilities. Leveraging core AI-assisted diagnostic competencies—such as a medical knowledge graph, diagnostic models, disease understanding algorithms, a database of renowned experts, and an outpatient department repository—it provides one-stop open technology solutions. Skill developers can also create and deploy skills to extend their products and services into various vertical healthcare scenarios.

Another highlight of the press conference was the launch of China’s first intelligent water bottle capable of listening and speaking—the “Laughing” Smart Health Water Bottle, introduced by Yin Feng, founder of Coffee Wing. This product is poised to redefine standards for smart water bottles in the intelligent era and has the potential to become a blockbuster hit featuring cutting-edge technology. It pioneers the application of Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology in water bottles, enabling human-computer voice interaction for instant question-and-answer sessions on health-related topics, thereby serving as a personal health assistant. Additionally, it functions as a portable personal secretary, offering features such as health reminders and event alerts.

In terms of design and configuration, the Laughing Smart Health Water Cup features a stylish and minimalist white body. Its inner liner is made of BPA-free Tritan copolyester, ensuring drinking safety. Compatible with Android and iOS systems, it is equipped with an OLED display, Bluetooth 5.0, wireless charging, and GPRS capabilities. Moreover, it can operate independently of a mobile app, functioning as a true smart terminal water cup. Powered by artificial intelligence technology, it offers features such as instant responses to health-related inquiries, intelligent health monitoring alerts, and a smart voice assistant. Reportedly, the Laughing Smart Health Water Cup will make its impressive debut in late September.

To support the national strategy of “co-construction and sharing, health for all” outlined in the Healthy China 2030 Planning Outline, and to promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence with healthcare, Health Hope has entered into a strategic partnership with People’s Health, with the signing ceremony taking place at the press conference. Meanwhile, the launch ceremony for the “2030 Digital Health Management Center” was also held at the event.

It is understood that this collaboration between Health Hope and Renmin Health will connect the entire health industry chain through nationwide digital health management, implementing a closed-loop digital health management project. It aims to build a borderless digital pan-health service network, integrating fragmented segments of the health management services, medical care, and pharmaceutical industries into a comprehensive pan-health ecosystem.

“2030 Digital Health Management Center” is a physical, offline terminal for digital, personalized, and experiential health and medical management services. It leverages technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing, integrated with professional theories and knowledge systems in health and medicine. The center offers health assessment products and services, including genetic testing and multi-omics testing. It also provides healthcare management services such as health risk assessment, disease prediction and prevention, and chronic disease management and monitoring. In the future, it will collaborate with more research institutions, enterprises, public institutions, and social organizations to achieve comprehensive coverage of national health.
