On July 26, the online healthcare service platform DXY announced the launch of its “Vaccine Inquiry and Free Consultation Zone.” Users can access vaccine-related information through the DXY App, mini-program, or the “Ask DXY” WeChat service account. Additionally, the platform has organized a free consultation campaign offering one-on-one answers to vaccine-related questions at no cost.

“7 Answers” Goes Viral; DXY Launches “Free Consultation” Feature

Users can access the Vaccine Consultation Zone via the DXY App, mini-program, or the “Ask DXY” WeChat Official Account. By entering the vaccine name, manufacturer, and batch number, they can verify whether the vaccine is qualified.

Below the query function, the "Vaccine Care Ambassadors," a team composed of hundreds of physicians from Grade 3A hospitals, are available online in real time to provide free answers to users' vaccine-related questions.

“On the evening of the 25th, we launched an initiative in our physician community group to introduce a free consultation service for vaccine-related questions, receiving enthusiastic support from doctors across China. Within less than two minutes, dozens of physicians signed up to participate,” said Cong Lulu, Chief User Growth Officer at DXY and Head of DXY Doctor Business. She noted that the physicians’ enthusiasm greatly encouraged the team, prompting product and technical staff to work overnight to successfully launch the service in the early hours of the 26th.

Just one minute after the feature went live, a user from Hebei Province consulted Dr. Cao, an attending physician in the Department of Pediatric Internal Medicine at Qinhuangdao First Hospital. “My child did not receive vaccines from the affected batch, but they were all produced by the same manufacturer. Could there still be issues? Are there any tests available to verify vaccine efficacy?”

Soon, Dr. Cao responded, explaining to the user: “There are methods to assess vaccine efficacy; for some vaccines, corresponding antibody levels can be measured via blood tests. However, this is entirely unnecessary. The primary reason is that all vaccines undergo rigorous Phase III clinical trials before market approval, and data on their overall effectiveness are already available. From a public health perspective, requiring parents to conduct additional testing would be a complete waste of resources. Moreover, the two batches of problematic vaccines disclosed this time merely had lower potency and would not cause any other adverse effects in infants.”

It is reported that as early as July 22, shortly after the “problematic vaccines” scandal was exposed, the DXY.cn media matrix promptly published an article titled “Seven Answers Everyone Should Know in the Aftermath of the Changchun Changsheng Vaccine Incident.” With an objective and calm tone, the article provided scientific explanations to address the public’s genuine concerns. To date, the article has accumulated over 11 million views on the WeChat Official Accounts Platform alone, earning high recognition and trust from both national-level media outlets and the general public. It was widely reposted by prominent entities such as People’s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, China Central Television, the Communist Youth League of China, and the State Council’s news client, thereby swiftly alleviating the panic and anxiety caused by the “problematic vaccines” among the public.
